LUKE McCORMICK

Wed May 23, 2012 4:41 pm

When are the FA going to get their house inorder and stop these pro footballers from playing the game after killing people in a car while under the influence of alcohol. Luke to be let out after less than 4 years for killing 2 young boys while under the influence of alcohol. Shame on Swindon Town too for taking the scumbag on trial. People at the Fa ought to grow a pair and stop these scumbags from ever playing pro football in this country ever again.

I totally agree mate. Dirty scumbag that prick is. Basically if you did that no way would your boss or company want you back.
Lee Hughes is another example. Should never have been allowed back
In the game.

totally agree,he gets to come out and play a game he loves and get paid and spend time with his wife and young child ,while the parents of the 2 boys he killed have to live on a day to day basis of pure hurt and now see him get hooked up with a team, and for those that say he served his time ...4 years for the lifes of 2 young lads isnt nowhere near enough !!!....shocking .

The justice system in this country is sometimes as vile as these criminals.

Paolo Di Canio professes to be a proud man. Where's the f***ing pride in that?

If he has served his debt to society then he should be able to return to whatever employer will have him.

Was his crime appalling? Yes

Should he serve longer in jail in my opinion? Absolutely

Is it his fault he hasn't? No

Your gripe is with the justice system, not him.

I don't blame the FA I blame the justice system and them the clubs.

Yes the justice system in this country is complete bollocks but I also blame the FA for allowing these players to continue with their playing careers and individual clubs like Swindon and Oldham for employing these scumbags :!:

^^ I would say. Yes the bloke should of served at least 30 years for what he has done. Scum. But as they say acording to the law he has served his time etc

Can the FA actually stop them? I'm sure if they tried they would have a huge law suit to deal with?

You might have a gripe with him being a scumbag yes, but that wouldn't change if he served 10,000 years in jail. But if we have a justice system the idea is people go to jail to serve a debt to society. Once they are out that debt is served, the problem is that people like this ass hole can get off on little time because our justice system is a mess.

My issue with both McCormick and Hughes is that neither of them has publicly stated regret to the families of those they killed. Both were recorded as laughing and joking in the court room during proceedings and the fact that when Hughes puts his hand to his ear when fans are chanting that he should still be in jail shows how much redemption he has.

A previous poster says that our gripe is with the justice system, not them. True, to a certain extent. However, I don't have time for either in these cases. I wouldn't want us to sign them and I hope that deep down somewhere inside them they realise what they really did and it haunts them to their grave.
