Wanting to go to games.

Tue May 22, 2012 1:09 am

So I've been a Cardiff City fan a while, but only gone to the odd few games at Ninian and the CCS on odd occasions with friends who've only gone on spur of the moment things. No-one I'm friends with really actually supports Cardiff or football in the sense they'd buy a season ticket. Does anyone go to games by themselves as to me that seems, I don't know

Not sure what I really want from the thread, but any form of input'll do :ayatollah:

I have a season ticket next to one of my mates but i'm 100% sure that if he ever chose not to renew, i would still buy my season ticket year after year even if i was sat on my own :ayatollah:

Going to the football is something you can do alone, it is not that unheard of at all. You will get to know the people around you anyway :old:

Anyway you plastics are not welcome :old: :old:

I think Bluebird since 1948 is joking mate (I hope so).
If you buy an ST you will have the same people around you every game and you'll soon get to know them. Akso , I think some on here meet up before games , I'm sure they'd welcome you to join them for a pre match pint.

Alternatively , there's a really friendly chap called Dai Hunt. He'd be great to have a seat next to.

If you get yourself a season ticket mate, you'll soon build a rapport with the guys sitting around you, you can't help becoming friendly in the emotional rollercoster that is the CCS

I agree with everything you said except...Where in the message does it say he is joking?

It doesn't say he's joking , hence why I wrote "I think" and "I hope". I really do hope that no one would belittle a new potential ST holder. We should make all fellow Bluebirds welcome !!

My mate was unable to go to Bristol home so I drove all the way down, bumped into a few on here in the pub,
Sat next to two Chinese people at the back of the Ninian stand,

Sang songs to myself n all.

And only had talksport as company on the way back to Luton, still we won so was a good day :ayatollah:

Ive only ever been to two games on my own one at NP and one at Forest away, cant say im a fan but thats just me.
Im not the type to go to the cinema on my own either, but people do.

Re: Wanting to go to games.

When I've had to go on my own before I've used it as a chance to sit in the front few rows to really be at pitch level and experience the real pace of the game. I quite enjoy it. I prefer it with my brother and mate there though. Going alone isn't bad or sad though. We'd rather have one extra fan than none at all! :ayatollah:

When I first moved up to Hull, I went to away's alone until I met a guy who also lived up here. Still go to some away's alone if he isn't going..

If I didn't I wouldn't get to see city play that often. Its not that bad. Also season ticket seats are the same so you'll soon meet people.

Ah thanks guys! :ayatollah:

Will look at getting a ST and seeing how it goes. Where's the best area in the stadium to get a ticket to sit?

Doubt that, bitch.

The moderators need to realise that people like you are killing the Forum. It'll soon be as boring as I found ccmb a year or so ago, when I left it.

Mate you will find out, as I did, that us Bluebirds are a very welcoming bunch and before you know it you will have made many new friends who will hopefully be your friends for life. I started out on my own and now I regularly meet and travel with up to 12 mates so just go for it! :ayatollah:
