American pit bulls

Walking my retriever today two men were walking the other way on a designated walk path they had a pit bull with them which was 20 yards infront of them. When of the lemons shouted don't worry he's soft as shit as he said there dog pounced on mine which on a lead. Whith teeth showing which can only be described as something out of alien after a lot of kicking the owner finally restrained his dog. This is where I lost it threats and conger threats were made by me. What I want to know could I be arrested for intimidation of the two men?

There was one out loose up near my house the other day (dull b*stard had left his window open), he bit a jack, two kids and was latched onto a labrador for 10 minutes. He simply would not let go, and the lab was very very lucky. Those pitbulls can be demented.

Not really i would not worry about that. But what if you had a toddler with you and not a Dog ? You should of reported it as one it is a banned Dog and second yours was on a lead which makes it an offence.

Shouldn't have a pitbull...especialy off a lead without a muzzle on!! Pittbull breads have been band under the dangerous dogs act for a good few years now I think!! The owner of that dog would be prosecuted under the dangerous dogs act if it actually is a pittbull! Or as the poster just explained.. Its only red nosed pitts!

Our Dog got attacked by an American Bulldog. It ran a distance to attack. Our dog thought it was going to attack my Mrs so gamely defended her. Apparently because our Dog was not on a lead nothing could be done legally. Absolute bollocks. Mind you that Bulldog had a nasty gash around the eye ours gave him before being overpowered. The owner was smacking f**k out of his dog whilst my Mrs was in bits. If i was there i would of stabbed the fucker through the heart.

As far as im aware - ALL types of Pit Bull terrier are a banned UK dog!

I've got to be honest I shit myself. He latched on in 3 different places I laid into the pricks of owners as they are the ones that brought the dog up. My wife holding me back from ripping there stupid headsoff. Just a shame as the walk is up past the six bells miners memorial which is a pleasant walk which I won't be doing again in a hurry

As much as I love all animals, if one of them touched my dog or my 2 cats, there'd be trouble.

IMO all dogs that come under "Dangerous dog"tag should be muzzled whilst out in public,i would gouge its f@@king eyes out of its sockets or slit its f@@king throat .... if one latched on to my little ones,'Paloma' is a Pomchi,and 'Sonny' is a border terrier and i f@@king loves um see

Anything that looks remotely like one is assumed to be one. These type are probably more dangerous towards people than the long gone pure pits. If your dog was attacked by the old type you would probably be mourning him now. All aggressive dogs should be on leads and under control. The dog doesn't,t choose the owner. A lot of these dogs are owned by arseholes.

Like kids,its how the owner brings it up,i've had it in the past where the owner says 'its soft as shit would'nt harm a fly',yeah ok its a f@@king animal they are unpredictable look at all those kids that have been savaged and killed by these dangerous dogs,my little one would be gone in one swift snatch,i am very anti sociable when i meet these dog/owners whilst out walking

there is a loophole thats why there are so many about.. its illegal to breed them not to actually have one but if you do have one it must be newtered, electronically chipped and wear a muzzle when in public at all times... I had one a few years ago, they are the most loyal loving dogs you could ever own.. Sadly they are used by cunts for the wrong reason.. Blame the breeder not the breed

Nothing wrong with pitbull terriers i had one for 13yrs and was soft and friendly.. its the owners who are at fault not the breed/breeds of dog.

It is illegal to own or breed them. In about 1989 all pit bulls had to be neutered ie within ten years they would die out. This is what the government planned. Like most of the laws they pass, they are not easy to impose. They should ban them f*cking police dogs

Phoned the police they say as it attacked another dog they couldn't do nothing about it. But they missed my point that the dog wasn't on a lead and not muzzled and on top of that a danger to the public coppers are really useless. How many times have you seen kids mauled by dogs only for the neighbours to say they've reported it previously.
