Any in this list do you think could help you in the CCC for a title push?

Danny Shittu
Lee Cook
Danny Gabbidon
Fitz Hall
Rowan Vine
Peter Ramage

Rumored to be joing them are;

Hogan Ephraim
Jay Bothroyd
Heidur Helguson
Brian Murphy

Bothroyd and Helguson would be top target men in my opinion, many will be against Bothroyd but we need a big man to partner a smaller striker in Mason/Miller.

Many will say Gabbidon but I don't agree, too old now and quite injury prone, we need to be looking at younger cover to the already experienced partnership of Hudson and Turner.

Bothroyd, and only Bothroyd. Unless you want to chuck in Mackie or Tommie Smith :D

I would definitely take Helguson. He's an excellent target man and I thought he was one of QPR's better players in the 1st of last season.

Would also take Bothroyd back but I'm not sure if his attitude would fit with Malky, unlike Dave Jones who was able to get the best out of him. Bothroyd is easily the most talented forward I've seen play for us.

My heart says 'gimme Jay back' but then I think back to all that rolling about and taking ages to get back up after a challenge.....I would have him back but I wouldnt be over the moon about it. Let's my onwards not sideways

Deffo have Jay back. People only seem to remember his bad points, but he was class at our level. Scored plenty of goals, and he loved it here. Dave Jones might sign him for Wednesday, though.

Bothroyd was fantastic. That is, until he realised he wouldn't be getting a second England cap, starting moaning on the CCS pitch and fell out of favour with the fans.

If he sorts that sort of attitude out, I'm gain.

Miller/mason would win more in the air than bothroyd

I wouldnt go near any of them apart from Helguson who's a very decent striker and would get Cardiff a lot of goals and success imo.

helgusson would fit into our team perfectly, id love to say bothroyd aswell but im not sure he would leave his ego behind

Helguson right attitude....

Re: ANY OF THESE TAKE YOUR FANCY??

Agyemang might be a cheap option as a target man, Helguson is knocking on a bit isn't he?

Re: ANY OF THESE TAKE YOUR FANCY??

Patrick Agyemang
Jay Bothroyd
Heidur Helguson

Thats it.

only one I'd be 100% happy with is Helguson but he's 34 now, had a quality season in 09 for QPR before he went on loan to Watford, but that was 3 yrs ago! Not quite sure if he could repeat that now?! do we go for youth and pace? or experience in this league, and reading of a game!

Bothroyd would be ok, as long as he would realise he's a championship player at best!

Agyemang knocking on a bit now at 31, but still a big target man, and could do a job off the bench if on lower wages. Good understudy for Gestede.

Helguson's never had any pace to lose in the first place.that's definitely not his game.Even if you had him for 1 season that might be the season you decide to go up. ;)

Stan
Def dont want Jay back, Lazy/big headed/self centred and spends his life on his arse.

Annis I defended Jay but I must concede he's shit.

Didn't take the boo boys long to get on his back after seeing his nonexistant jumps for headers & lack of effort. He wondered why he was out of the team yet it was so fecking obvious. Not a player I want to see for to much longer.

Blueboys 1927- cheers mate. It went to the wire but I always expected it would do with the terrible season we had. Btw we took 4 points off the Jacks this season, same as the season before that In the ccc so got a decent record against them.

They done superbly this season & full credit to them although inot convinced they can do the same again next season. We will see.

You did Stan, but fair play to you on your honesty. :ayatollah:

I still cant believe he made it even on the bench in the Premier league.

And with 2 great headed goals against Man City & Spurs to his name.

Could of been a lot more with a bit more effort & application.

Wittingham to West Ham is the talk down here. You heard that lately?

I'm thinking Rowan Vine, we need an Earnie type player who won't complain about being on the bench all the time :old:

Gabbidon would be good at this level and would replace that useless scouse shite :old:

Pretty much agree with everyone else, Heidar Helguson would be a good addition to our squad and tbh I'd also take Jay back as he'd be a perfect foil for both Miller or Mason up front. Fitz Hall was highly rated a few seasons back but never really hit the heights, same can be said for Peter Ramage too, started his career well but went backwards.

fitz hall as back up

Helguson is a decent player but Jay returning would be great. I'd rather have him than Chopra, put it that way.
