I LOVE PLASTICS.

Sun May 20, 2012 9:50 pm

Ive been going through video after video of Chelsea fans reactions to the penalty shootout on youtube and obviously there were crazy celebrations, tears and all sorts of crazy shows of pure ecstasy and pride at their club winning it. What surprised me though was the videos were households in Asia, Scandinavia, US, Russia, Canada, France...virtually everywhere!! I mean they clearly absolutely adore Chelsea.
I read on here everyday and ALMOST each day there is talk of plastic this and plastic that, well if you want REAL success then a so called 'plastic revolution' will roll in hard! I personally would love to see us succeed and see these people going f*cking nuts for our team regardless of the obvious financial gain that come with it. City 'loyalists' would soon change their mentality cos we will get to watch the best footballers in front of our very own eyes and these people from all over the world who can't afford to come and watch a game will be partly funding our privelige. Bring on the worldwide plastics!

I've felt the word plastic is overrated massively.
If someone wants to supports Cardiff City then thats good enough for me.

I know people who support NFL but don't go to games for logistic reasons, i don't think it makes them plastics, just fans.

I prefer to say supporters and fans, big difference.
Don't think I've ever called anyone a plastic tbh

Interesting take on what a plastic is by one themselves. The younger generations are going to cripple this club :old:

So basically you want the club to die in the near future as it will have no fans?

No no no, I am just worried that the younger generations aren't respecting this club and it's history :old:

I want this club to be the preserve the true hardcore bluebirds. The younger generations are welcome as they are future but they must support the club like we senior citizens did, with honour and respect while upholding the proud traditions of NP. I do not like to see the plastic army, happy clapping and playing on there phones during the game. Many of the younger generations support the likes of Chelsea/Liverpool/United/Arsenal. They see the bluebirds as a second club and come down and take the piss :old:

Give me the 5k at NP any day of the week over the current situation :old:

Sadly/pleasingly whatever NP is gone.

Football lost It's "bite" not the stadium.
Ninian was quiet before the move and now people use the CCS as an excuse for me.

Then again my three best away games ever are (wembley in carling cup). But otherwise it's Hereford away and Stockport awa both old grounds.

Edgely Park is wonderful stadium, it is shame they have done so poorly recently. Stockport County were one of the finer clubs we played, very much like the bluebirds :old:

They do not own that stadium now, it was only in 1997 that Stockport County were 8th in what is now the Championship a full 15 places ahead of Manchester City who were relegated to league one in new money :old:

Stockport away I remember two things, Scott young saved our fullbacks life (Jenkins) because he swallowed his tongue and I had a nice pie (and I hate buying pies ).

You are fast becoming a favorite of mine on here, from the start I have been lambasted by all sections, been told to "simmer down you old c**t" called a Jack on numerous occasions and harassed by that abhorrent Nedd Glass.

Only a few have endeered themselves to me, Daya, Canton Magic and Nukes. You young man are fast approaching that list, it is nice to speak about the old times to the younger generations :old:

Too often they couldn't give a f**k any more :old: :old:

Christ that's a group to be In

The past was great but long gone now, you have to look forward to new football and what the positives in that bring.

Well if you want real success then you have to expect non Cardiffians/Welsh to want to be a part of it and want to buy into it.
However you say 'bring back 5k at NP anyday'!!!! WTF, why support a club that you don't want to succeed, I find that disgusting but I'm also thankful the you are the not the future.

Listen mate, I do understand what your saying, there will always be a hardcore support, because they are hardcore supporters! Haha. The 'younger generation' as you say have the same concerns as you, we want to hold on to values that make Cardiff, Cardiff, and we will. I don't think the colour blue is one of them.

I am 26, my first game was 94, I worked at Cardiff for 8 years and was a ballboy for 5 years as a nipper. I even stripped the old girl naked on her last days. I have experienced every atmosphere that place had to offer, from sitting on my own in the bob bank for an FAW game to on the gravel in front of the middle gate of the bob within spitting distance of Danny mills v Leeds. Your age is just a number, the only difference is our outlook. You talk about NP and keeping traditions alive. Well I'm not being funny, a new stadium doesn't come with a new set of supporters. The old guard aren't doing much other than saying we need to change stands, so if your concerned about traditions then lead by example.

With all due respect some of your comments just show why the opinion of the younger fan is even more important, you want the old days back....I'd like that but not at the sacrifice of no club sto follow when I'm your age! Blue is a colour, it's not what makes us CCFC in its entirety. Adapt or die!
