Yes good side, Don Murray captain and centre half was as hard as any player i have seen, would make Joey Barton look like Julian Clary . The way Murray tackled would not have lasted 10 mins on the pitch nowdays. :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Jim Eadie had left City before the 73/74 season, i think he went to Bristol Rovers.
Bill Irwin played in goal most games this season, except interestingly for P. Grotier [2 games] & R. Healey, who played in the last seven games of that season.

Can anyone remember seeing Roger Hoy play?

I remember him signing from Luton I think and then being constantly injured.

Never got to see him play.

Lots of great hairstyles and plenty of sideburns there!

Because I was small my dad made me a wooden box which I used to stand on in the old Bob Bank. Imagine trying to get that into the stadium nowadays!

A few years later than when i began watching the City what a team Davies ,Toshack, Clarke ,Phillips ( later went to Villa for a hefty fee ) Murray , and a paticular Favourite of mine Barry Jones who was a brilliant winger and came to us via Swansea i also recall watching Willie Anderson a few years later who was another great winger interesting to see how the 1969/70 team would fare these days personnaly i think top six would be achieved easly and automatic promotion would be pretty decent chance. :ayatollah:

Yer Barry Jones broke his leg and never played again, I remember going to Fulham , they put one on use and then we went to town on them and beat them 5 - 1 at there place. great days they were.
