He gave Demel a nightmare with his pace, but as soon as they put Feubert on to match his pace he didn't look a threat anymore. Phillips seems like the type of winger who can terrorise full backs who are slower than him as he loves knocking the ball past his man and burning him for pace. But against full backs as pacey as him he seems to lack the ability to skin them by using skill and trickery. However, he is still young and still learning.

He did, the game suited him down here as it opened up for him late on and he had the pace on Taylor who had a bit of a mare against him to be fair.

He did look good against us, but so did any team that played with width and pace, remember Boro took us to pieces.

To me no more than £700K, as he is the type of player we desperately need, but Holloway was talking multi-millions, must be on a cut again.

I'll trust Malky

Quality player and can only get better. If he was with us most of our fans would value him at alteast £1.3 mill. He'll be in the prem next season.

Pre-season/cup games maybe a few league games if he impresses... didnt i read malky said he would of played him if the end of the season want so tricky? cant see why he couldnt of came on when 2-0 up vs derby but oh well

Part of the reason I love pre season friendlies is to see new signings and youngsters coming into the team. I am looking forward to Barry, Forest Green and Cheltenham as much as the league games!
