Aye, no ambition see. On the other hand if he had gone for it you would accuse him of being disloyal. What a pickle eh?

I think you read me wrong jack.....I think Rodgers wants to learn a his trade, plenty of time for moving up.
I think it takes humility to know your limitations.

Perhaps he just wants to concentrate on family matters at the moment, especially with his son being up in court for serious sexual offence charges!

The real reason he turned it down is because he's not stupid. With so many being interviewed for the job the chances of him getting it are slim. By interviewing he shows the club, the players and the fans he's only there till something better comes along.
And it's f*cking Liverpool. The poison chalice of the Premier League. Anyone who gets the job will have to replace a club legend such as Dalglish, will be under intense scrutiny from fans and the media, with a squad that's largely unmotivated and trigger happy owners.

I''m not a Brendon Rogers fan personally. Think he's largely overrated with Martinez being the real reason Swansea are where they are, but he's called this situation perfectly.

Agreed with this.

He's worked this out to a tee, also it embarrasses Liverpool as a few years ago you would never have thought that the Swansea manager would turn them down. Brilliant.
