A forum for all things Cardiff City

It will be interesting to see if City can attract any decent players over the summer. Are we a club who has lost it's appeal? Obviously our finances are going to have an impact on our transfer targets but it may be an issue when we cannot allegedly attract players like Sordell, Noone and Vardy from non league football. Let's hope Malky has money to spend and he can bring in some quality players to mix with the young recruits for the future.

it does seem that we are not attractive and its due to stability and money.
Other than leicester and Ipswich, possibly brum - all championship clubs are unnattractive to the ambitious player/agent.
Even most premier clubs struggle - thats why everyone looks abroad.
We may pick up a few irish or scottish as they are from different leagues and want to progress in a first team rather than benchwarm a big club.
Sordell went on a prem gamble and failed.
noones agent wanted a kings ransom and his chairman stopped the deal
vardy will be all about the cash too.

Just need to bid at the right time, and quite snappy when they come across a suitable player.

Currently with the club in turmoil we are an unattractive prospect.
Usually though most players will go where the money is. I think Cardiff as a place is an attractive place over a lot of other places in the championship.

Damn right. Barnsley, for a start.

Money is what's attractive to players these days, not the club.
You offer enough money and anyone can be bought.
Even Nedd!
