" HOUSE OF SPORT 2 "

At a meeting tonight I was shown the plans for the House of Sport 2.

The facility will be built adjacent to the current House of Sport and both can be accessed through a link.

The date for 'Breaking Ground' is May 23rd or that is the date that some club officials are told (need to be careful, just in case I am accused of lying).

Going on the start date of next week, the build is expected to be finished by the end of September.

I think the house of sport has been hugely successful. And I believe I've heard that the second house of sport would help us gain a better level of Academy status or something along those lines.

Where is the original house of sport? Is it near the stadium?

Thats brilliant news. If we are going to challenge the better off teams we need to have the best possible facilities to attact youngsters and stop the top talent going to London and other areas.

I can remember when I was younger Bristol Rovers were always poaching youngsters over here. We have to take every opportunity to get the best of what talent is in South Wales as this will not only help our club but also the Wales team. I would love a Welsh team made up of players from Cardiffs and that other town

No, the training facilities are in a different location.

Not just Cardiff and Swansea, but all of Wales. Rush, Southall, Speed, Ratcliffe, Hughes, Horne,Joey Jones, Savage and many more were from north Wales. Simon Davies and Mark Delaney were from Pembrokeshire.

Hey Carl, how does this affect our collaboration with University of Glamorgan....especially in regards to the Trefforest training grounds and the deal with Vale of Glamorgan. Arent we just wasting money on a training ground we dont really need at the moment....or do we need a new facility?

Agreed. That would seem to be the case. All good news for City.

Just to clarify this house of sport will mainly be used by the scholarship programmes that the club have recently announced

also it will be used by other sources shall we say . i cannot say at this point

someone mentioned if it will effect our treforest tie up . NO it won't
