Steve "The Irons Man" Day

Good luck at Wembley against that irritating little club called Blackpool.

I may have told you before, I used to watch West Ham now and again in the days of McAvennie, TC and Mark Ward. I had a couple of mates in Southend who were West Ham fans (one of them lost sight in one eye in a fight with the Southend Casuals) and a girlfriend in Basildon. Match days, we'd go from Southend to Upminster by car, drink in the Essex Yeoman at Upminster station and then catch the tube to Upton Park. Stood on the North Bank at the Boleyn Ground, when it was still a terrace - great atmosphere.

Yeah, didn't see that coming, but he wanted to keep the earnings at a certain level, I suppose and couldn't find another avenue. Shame.
