Disillusioned

Got to admit lads, I've become disillusioned with this place. I'm always been a big fan of this board but it feels that there's so many shit posts and waster members posting absolute dog shite that the decent posts are becoming submerged under crap.

My personal pet hates here are...

- Swansea fans posting unfunny posts having a dig at our club (there's a different between banter and just not being funny).
- Anti-Swansea posts retaliating to the Swansea fans in a petty and pointless manner.
- Anti-Carl and Annis posts that are best described as "if you don't have anything nice to say, why bother saying anything".
- Pro-Carl and Annis posts that don't really help the situation.

There are some top members here and unfortunately they are being silenced by those that seem to post here frequently even though they claim they don't like the place or what is said here. No-one is forced to read this forum. If you don't like it, then there are plenty of other places to get your kicks.

I would like to ask Carl or Owain or whoever has the power and knowledge to do this if they can introduce a 'karma' or 'kudos' system where members can rate each other's posts and their fellow members?

That way we can instantly see which posts are being rated highly and which members have the best reputations for being decent posters. That way you can get more credit for posting decent stuff as opposed to total wank.

I'd also be keen to hear the views of other members of the board about this. I love this forum and I've met some top lads through this forum from both AAMB and CCMB so really want to see the shit removed and the cream come back to the top.

This board was orginally set up so we (Cardiff City fans) could have a forum for debate. It didn't matter what your opinion was you could put it forward and if someone disagreed then the idea was to post the counter-argument without resorting to insult or sniping.

It worked great for the first couple of years but since the invasion of the Swansea fans good debate has gone out of the window.

I also hate the obvious lick arsing that goes on (LutonBluebird is a past master) and the snipers like Since '62 who is always looking for a way to undermine Carl/Annis but at the end of the day I can live with that, its the bloody Swansea fans that really drags this forum down.

I for one dont post much on this MB but i like reading the posts and catching up on the latest gossip etc,
but what i have noticed that there is a big click on here and and a hell of a lot of arse kissers,my only concern is that
the true CCFC fan that dont have alot to say will get alienated due to their lack of posting or that he might not agree with
the big noises on here...

The boards usually suffer at this time of year, every year, from what I've seen in the past. We've had an exceptional situation, just recently, which has been done to death now, so I hope we can go back to normal and look forward to new signings and the build-up to next season.

I was contemplating staying off the Forum for a while, but there's still humour to be had from it - it's just difficult, on occasion, to know when a topic is worth avoiding.
