you needed proof he was making it up??! :D

Mate, he said City could be bankrolled in the billions ffs :? he way aswell have said squillions... although even then some would still believe him.

No wonder the Malaysians can walk in and change our club from under our noses, people cling on to everyones word and take it as gospel without looking at the possible reasons behind them saying it.

Carl and Annis have clearly been scaremongered into thinking the club goes under without Tan or misled to believe we will be Europs best with the investment.... and thus dont want anyone to oppose it so are embelishing the truth to get you blinkered, deleting threads opposing them, banning usernames that express concern etc etc

But 2 points...

1) £100 million isnt that much. Wigan earned that in 2 seasons, the Jacks earned £63 million just in the last financial year... they get to spend it on what they like - we are hamstrung by the fact most of it is being spent on stuff we dont need, but it does make the club more attractive to sell as it will be buying real estate.

2) STILL no word, and totally ignored when someone bring up the glaringly obvious fact that we STILL lose £1.3 million a month and £15 million a season.... even more when we add the wages of the new players and will be in the same debt we are now (£70-£80 million) in 4 years time. Nobody is interested though as Carl makes his sensational claims. Next Man City dont you know :Dwho knew all it took was Wigans revenue for 2 seasons

"Our Club?" .....It's not our club, it's a business owned by shareholders designed to drive shareholder value. If that isn't the case it would be a charity.
We the fans buy spend money to view events held by the company (Matches) and show our affinity by wearing the company logo (merchandise)
The employees (players and coaches) are journeymen professionals who move to further their careers, or in some cases just to prolong them. The employees rarely these days have a cultural or geographical tie to the business or area or even country and as such expecting the kind of blind loyalty that fans bestow on the club is sadly unrealistic.

If the shareholders decide to increase their financial investment through making funds available via an aggressive marketing campaign it may be possible for us to pay to see better quality events, enjoy the reflected glory of being associated with such a successful company/club.

But until we put our hands in our pockets and become substantial shareholders lets be honest and realise it will never be out club in a practical sense but emotionally we will be there to provide the corporate memory of past triumphs, sad failures and missed opportunities.

Don't let current events disunite us and get shunted into the pages of history as another sad failure and a missed chance to move the club forward in whatever way we feel pays due homage and respect to our past, and secures the future for our children to be able enjoy the undoubted privilege and pain of supporting our beloved Bluebirds.
