The Dutch all the way. Van Persie, Robben, Sneijder, Van Der Vaart, De Jong, Huntelaar etc..

I don't see how spain have become any weaker. They'll probably dominate.

I'm tempted to stick a bet on Portugal. They will be at good odds being in the same group as Germany and Holland and if they manage to get past the group stage, I don't really see anyone stopping them apart from Spain. Italy and France are not the teams they once were. Can anyone remind me when Ireland qualified as I thought France knocked them out through Thierry Henry's cheating?

That handball was during the qualifiers for the World Cup 2010.

Villa injured I think and Torres not really hit any consistent form, they have Llorente but not really a goal scoring partner. Marcos Senna also older and not as good now, he was key to their last euro win, but they are really strong and I expect them to do well.
Agree with the other poster though that Holland will win, they have two of the most on-from strikers in Europe in RVP and Huntelaar and then the likes of Robben, Sneijder, VDV etc in midfield, their defence is their weakest area. France have a potentially very good team although have done shit in recent tournaments and the Germans could do well after a good WC.

Germany or Holland for me, but never discount the reigning champions.

I got a sneaky feeling england will win it!! Strange buildup for them! the English media hasn't done its usual building up of the english chances of winning it and puttin shit loads presure on there squad only for the inevitable “FAIL" to occur!! Like what usualy happens lol its been a strange, almost quiet build up, with the up and coming Olympics deflecting a lot of the attention. I hope they don't lol but think with less expectation on england this time around, it could well play in there favour.

It'll be a true shame if Germany don't win
they play some genuinely breathtaking attacking football much better than tippy tappy dull shit, and the spine of their team, Neuer, Hummels, Badstuber, Ozil, Schweinstiger and Klose/Gomez is just immense. And then out wide they have Lahm, Muller, Gotze, Podolski , on and on and on. Simply superb footballing team, and I look forward to them pummelling teams a la Argentina/England 2010. Spain wont win, Barcelona have suffered hugely with Villa's loss this year, his movement and ambidexterity is so useful, its something Llorente and Soldado just cant offer and he perfectly fits their tika taka mould. France are dark horses, beat Germany a few months back and in Benzema they have in my eyes, the world's best pure striker, he is brilliant. If they can get Gourcuff to perform , they could well go on to win it. Ronaldo and Ibrahimovic will do their usual bottling at national level, the two group B winners will absolutely spank the winners of group A, it will be Germany/Holland vs Russia/Czechs. What a joke.
And Italy have a rock solid defence once more and most of their players have had fantastic seasons. So for me its between Germany, Italy and France. Spain have peaked and Holland are ageing and too defensive.
