REPORTS suggest Cardiff City are interested in signing Peterborough goalkeeper Joe Lewis.
The 24-year-old former England Under-21 international is out of contract at London Road and available on a free transfer.
Lewis, who stands at 6ft 4ins, started his career as a trainee at Norwich and, following loan spells at Stockport and Morecambe, signed for the Posh in January 2008. He has since made almost 200 appearances for Peterborough although last campaign he saw his opportunities limited and he has now been released by boss Darren Ferguson.
Cardiff manager Malky Mackay, who faces competition from Championship rivals Ipswich Town for Lewis, could see the stopper as the perfect replacement for Tom Heaton who failed to agree a new contract and was released this week.

The fact he is being released means nothing, Heaton has been released but still a good keeper.

Heaton wasn't released, he turned down a new contract.
