financial fair play?

Wed May 16, 2012 10:54 am

one thing not sure about is! with fair play rules we are only allowed spend about 6m per season above income so if got no debt thats ok but then we have to live within our means as cant go over the 6m without fines, so presume vt cant bankroll players as they need to come from income generated i understand what needs to happen for him to get money back hence the cuffufle over shirts, but what i dont understand properly is if say in two years kenny houang wants to come on board he can invest in club but only take burden from vt cant give money for players as said needs come from income, only income i can see apart from shirt sales ect is nameing rights for stadium, thats allowed as its an income so how does having more investers work under fair play?

they know what they are doing, they will find a way around this dont you worry.

Like you said Stadium naming rights. i can see us having a new name every year ;)
Also the sponsor on the shirt may have a hefty price tag ;)

that seems about right there ....... problem is ex Premier teams that get relegated will still also benefit from parachute payments which will be a huge advantage for them .

This is why Tan wanted to turn red........If we can increase revenue from China with Kenny Heung we have more income which means we are able to have more money available

well yes my thoughts were that as man city sold it for 400m, but uefa looking into it as some investors in naming rights are part same group who own man city against rules i think

these rules are irrelevant for season 2012/2013 as they don't come into force until season 2013/2014, so this maybe the reason behind the need to invest the monies this season, as there are no penalty's involved.

I also read somewhere the penalty's, but can't remember what they where (can somebody refresh my old brain)

it was something like invest over 6 million in 2013/2014 season and get promoted a pay a percentage in fines (2% i think) Don't go up and its transfer embargo's and fines (screwed basically).

that was my point what difference is getting investors in when not allowed to spend money, the rule is to stop people like man city owners bankrolling club without thought of consequences if they pull out living within budgets.
