We really did to a man celebrate Citeh's last goal as we knew by then that we were safe and it was a big thank you to that cheating Cnut Ashley Young for getting Lord Shaun of Derry sent off the other week and also for all football supporters everywhere who acknowledge that Manure have had more than the rub of the green, certainly against the so called lesser clubs. As for the game itself, surreal, just so surreal and the whole day left me both physically and mentally gone. I posted this on one of our message boards if anyone is interested.

Now for a nice quiet summer of non-football and plenty of cricket, off to Lords tomorrow and Friday! So bloody civilised :D

I would love to see the club sack him for gross misconduct if possible. The bloke is a complete liability and given that he has hardly set the world alight in W12 this season despite his reported wages then he is far from worth keeping. With the return from injury of Ale Faurlin and the signing of Samba Diakite we would have a very good central midfield two and to be fair to Lord Shaun of Derry, he has not let the side down this season, which can also be said for the rest of the Championship winning side, Kenny, although had a few dodgy moments has made some awesome saves, Jamie Mackie has caused many a so-called left backs more than a hint of trouble and has also weighed in with seven goals despite missing the first third of the season and being on the bench for quite a few games, Adel Taarabt has shone since the new year and scored two vital goals against the Arse and Spuds, Faurlin would have walked the POTY awards for us had he not suffered an ACL in January, already mentioned Derry, Helguson had scored nine goals and had dominated many a decent centre-half before being injured in February and the player that has surprised us all and eventually was both the players POTY and the supporters POTY was Clint Hill. At some point Hughes was forced into playing him at centre half and suddenly the defence (other than Chel*** away), looked solid and galvanised and was certainly due in no small part to Clint Hill both in terms of his commitment, but his tackling, heading ability and his undoubtedly leadership. He is now out of contract and it would be a travesty if Hughes did not give him another season.

One thing I have learned is that the gap between the top of the Championship and about 14 clubs in the Prem really isn't that big, and on a decent day even the top sides are beatable, we ran Citeh close twice, losing 3-2 each time, beat Arsenal, Spuds and Chel*** at home and throw in the Scousers aswell, it just shows you that with just a little bit of investment you are not a million miles away. but what you really do need is a decent forward and in Cisse we have one who has been scoring for fun, when he hasn't been suspended!

Brilliant piece that Mate and sums up what being a football fan is all about i experienced every emotion you went through when we played Leicester at home in the Play Off Semi Final a couple of seasons ago.

Really glad that QPR stayed up for fans like yourself and Stan and i really enjoyed watching you stuff the Jerks at home this season but can you do the double next season please ;) :D

cheers

spot on about us needing someone who can knock in a few goals, we have seen the difference that made for Southampton & Reading again this year.

How long is Bartons contract or can they get shot on gross misconduct grounds?
Not sure who would want to take him...except maybe dirty leeds.....

Great clip and all that but I don't think I could ever bring myself to cheer a goal scored against us no matter what the circumstance. Then again I was not involved in the emotion of the day!!

I'm not sure about that - we seemed pretty pleased when Hull scored at Ninian to send Leeds down!

Great piece by the QPR fan by the way.

Nice comment below the video
The day my hatred for another team outweighs my desire for my own team to win is the day to pack it up and go home.

Lord Shaun of Derry?………bit childish isn't it. After all he is a crap player and one of the many reasons you're well out of your depth?

When Warnock brought both Derry and Hill in from Palarse the season before last on free transfers we thought that this was the limit of the clubs ambitions for that season and beyond. Little did we know that it was nothing short of a master stroke. Derry played 45 league games last season and was outstanding for the vast majority of it and this season, although at times he has looked behind the eight ball on other occasions he has been brilliant. He does the simple things well and knows his limitations. And Blazing, as far as being out of our depth, just to remind you, we survived despite the total lack of planning last summer thanks to Ecclestone and Briatore. We now are a club that will look to consolidate with owners intent on not only keeping the heritage but are even listening to the supporters about reverting back to the old badge as the current one is still part of the Briatore era, have now announced plans for a state-of-the-art training facilities, have applied successfully for the youth set up to regain Academy status and has confirmed that the funding is in place for a new ground. And of course there is the little matter that we beat four of the 'big six' this season just finished, so we are where we are. Derry will unlikely play much next season and frankly I would not be surprised to see him rejoin Warnock at Leeds. But if he goes, he goes with the absolute blessing of every QPR supporter.
