So Carl Annis or anyone in the know, does malky now have the go ahead to start getting some quality players in to strengthen the squad?

As castleblue said last week...MM has started to target his players for next season.
Most players contracts are up May - June, but that does not stop player, club, agent talking of future plans.
MM joined us mid june

last season and we all know how quick he was to bring in players last season

i was hoping today the malaysians would have said to malky . you got 30 million or 30 pound? to spend in the transfer window?

Who says he wasn't? If they are going ahead with plans I can't imagine them wasting time by not investing the before spoken millions. It's probably a 'come to us and we will decide weather we will fund the player' time, IF he does sign anyone this early that is.

Maybe they did but I doubt Malky was going to broadcast that on the internet

I dont think he can untill TG goes back to VT and i suppose everything rests on the outcome of that

I believe the fallout of the last week will see us sell players like Whitts, I hope we won't but I suspect from what has been previously posted by those in the know and from the clubs statement, the investment will be curtailed.

If Malky was told "you've got to sell Whitts and probably Mason and Turner if offers come in"
Would he have been wide eyed and smiling yesterday with TG ?
The fact that MM has stated Whitts is the main cog in his engine room and will not be sold should tell you that if he had been told that then MM would probably be issuing his own ultimatum.

Time will tell, I was thinking of all the potential signings when the news broke of the massive injection of cash that could be coming our way from VT...then of course we all know what happened next.

I've seen people smiling when confronted with all manner of adversity, but what you say is right if MM believes Whits is the engine room then he shouldn't be sold.... But if the Malays have no long term interest and is sold, what then? It's a matter of waiting for the statement in due course from Malaysia.

I believe the message will be Malky will have some funds, not that much though.
He will buys someone say he may have a little over, buys another- "no funds left", buy another - "too good had to beg TG", buys another - "TG's own money", buys another.............
We will never know how much he has, nor will anyone else.

If TG came out and stated publicly that malky got say £15m? to spend then immediately any city targets get more expensive. If a chairman gets a call from malky inquiring about one of his players, he knows malky got some cash so the price goes up. Also once a fee is agreed, Scumbag slimy agents demand more wages for "their" client. So maybe we will go about our business without our spending power (if any) being made public.
