The Importance of colour

Sun May 13, 2012 1:56 pm

If colour was so important in the marketing of a football club then why have no other major clubs, let alone those on the peripheral like ours, gone down this avenue?

To be honest, put Liverpool or Man United in a puke coloured kit and foreign supporters would still buy it. It's the success they want. One thing they don't want is a club that is viewed as having bought its success.

I don't think Man City will give a flying feck who thinks they bought success....if they win the title today.

I know, they clearly won't. As has been clearly stated, theres not that much money to be made from shirt sales. The sponsorship on the otherhand, yes

Who says people do want success that had been bought? A sweeping generalisation if ever there was one. And in the main all success had been bought. Do man utd not pay huge transfer prices and wages? And Liverpool before them? The bug clubs have the money and money leads to success. So let's get our hands on some money!
