THIS MESSAGE BOARD

Many people have been quick enough to come on here and criticise this message board, its members and moderators, and i will in some ways agree with some peoples opinions that somethings posted on this board this week have been unacceptable and a lot of comments perhaps should have been deleted, especially with regards to racial and abusive literature.

However, we ALL can learn from the mistakes that have happened this week and comments that have at times got out of hand, but one things for sure especially on my side of the coin, EVERY individual is entitled to their opinion wether people agree or not, thats what creates the debate. Not all of us are going to agree and therefore, that is when constructive critcism should come into play and a sensible and constructive debate can be construed.

This week i have also been saddened to have read and at times needed to delete many threats of abuse and violence to individuals on this board which i find totally unacceptable as again EVERY individual has their OWN opinion and opinions should be respected and constructively criticised if need be.

Also posters need to be made aware that if ANY comment or comments offends them in any way or form then they immediately report it to a moderator on this board and it will be dealt with appropriately.

This board has been running now since November 2009 and i have been privileged enough to have been a moderator from day one, but this week has by far been the most difficult and many insulting posts have gone unoticed purely because of the hugely increased activity by its members this week especially after the major news that was broadcast.

I will now finish my rant by saying that, although this message board has come under a lot of criticism this week , we also need to stop and think how important it is to us as fans for us ALL to receive and give information, rumours, gossip, banter etc.
Its a great place to be at times has over 8000 members and is openly active 24/7, thats what makes it a great place to be.

Like ive said, this board has taken a lot of stick this week, but stop and think how much effort, time and patience goes into this board by ALL the team and its members and thats what makes it the success it has been over the last few years.

People need to man up, it's easy to blame others while doing nothing yourself.
Mods have the power to change what they see only!!!
It's up to posters to alert the mods to what they see

To be fair to the mods the number of threds created on this board in the last few days has been staggering and a few slipping through the net is not suprising. You have done the best you can guys but you can only remove what has been reported or what you have seen personally and when things are as mental as they have been its difficult.

I hope a few otrher people who have been critical of the mods realise how difficult it can be at busy times.

But the mods have lives as well (just about for me )
I'm away in midwales currently for a long weekend with extended family for my parents ruby wedding anniversary. I don't think I've seen 3G since I've been here I've done as other mods do which is our best!

You have to remember the role of this board changed dramatically this week from an obscure (in the great schemes of things) message board to a source of information, as we had to wait for snippets of information from "fan leaders" in what was becoming a national story.

All posters have an obligation to be lawful and think about the consequence of their comments, its not for the mods to police every comment. This whole situation had spiralled totally out of control, I hope the usual unfounded transfer speculation starts again and we return to normality.

In all honesty this board is very much a local forum, whereas twitter and especially facebook are international, comments raised there are far more damaging. If a Malaysian journalist try's to read any of Swansealads comments the will think its all it code.
