Evening all,
The developments of te last few days have been interesting to say the least! A lot of fans for the idea Nd against the idea, at first ill admit I was on the fence I wanted to see the facts as full as possible before passing my own judgement, I feel I was being rational I thinking with my head and not my heart at that point! We as fans are immensely passionate about our club and I feel if more fans had just thought their initial reactions from the heart and used their heads then do much embarrassment and I'll feeling could have been avoided.
Well we now no the outcome and won't here more until Tuesday's board meetin is concluded what we have now witnesses is a change in attitudes of many fans now praying that vt stays on board as they are now thinking more than feeling, some have not changed their opinions and I admire that stance an the majority of those who haven't changed their opinions have gone about there ideas an business with dignity and respect and as we are all aware there are a few mindless idiots that haven't, one thing all city fans can agree on based on news from within the club and news most of us knew anyway is that times ahead look troubled,
Some will disagree but the facts speak for themselves I point out the following
1) since VT's involvement with the club he has invested an estimate of £40m with no sign of a return, this money is currently loaned to the club with an interest rate of 7%, these are facts guys and shown in the accounts
2) this figure is rising due to various sources comments dating a few months back which said that VT was putting £1.2m in per month to bankroll the day to day running of te club again a fact pointed out by members of the Board ie Steve Borley himself
3) since taking over as chairman from the riddler TG has always said tht we need to run the business which I
Might add is what Cardiff city fc is! Would need to be run on a sustainable basis going forward ie breakeven business running at worst
4) the financial fair play rules entering league football next season are being put into place to stop clubs running at silly losses they cannot afford to run at, rules vary from 70% of budget wages to
Embargoes and fines for non compliance and limited owner investment of £6m first year down to £3m 2nd and £2m each year after!
I'll get to my point, in laymens terms once the new rules hit next season Cardiff
City fc can no longer accept the £13.4 million Vt is putting in over the course of the year to run the business from day to day, we can only have £6m net year meaning we lose £7.4m est on the accounts, under fair play rules this loss would be investigated for reasons why and the biggest reason for the loss would be that we spend more than we earn simple! Our wage budget is far more than 70% of our turnover which would break rules of FairPlay this could lead to transfer embargos for full seasons of fines for breach of rules, this knocks onto the club as obviously
We cannot sign players an have to sell high earners to not breach rules year after, our average wage per player probably stands at nearly 5k per week more than the championship average, we then have to rely on youth etc and probably get relegated, the only answer to this issue without losing playing staff or wage cuts was simple THE DREADED
REBRAND, Vt and his board believed as would any businessman that in order for this club to survive over the foreseeable future is to increase its revenue streams, how would this be possible in the uk? Not with ease so what better way than to make Cardiff city fc a BRAND Like the hated Mancs who make billions in turnover a year in Asian markets through merchandise etc, Vincent tan was brought in by the then board of Cardiff city for thä reason I don't care what anyone says as
A
Club the board new we needs to increase revenues to survive, tan obviously thought he was doing right with these plans as in orde for Cardiff city fc to survive an possibly realise the premier league dream further investment and settling of historic debts would be vital plus increased revenue. The proposed
Investment let's not forget would see every debt owed by Cardiff out fully wiped out and tan the official owner of Ccfc, with no debt tab would only be owed money upon sale of Ccfc to another party!
Some say the rebrand would have been a snail price to pay or
Long term survival and others say a disgrace to the club lets start again etc, I beg of some people even tho passionate fans to consider how a club with a history of debt problems could make it back from the doldrums of the conference to the EPL? Don't forget we would be under FairPlay rules and would lose the entire team and would have to start from nothing keeping within budgets etc not like Crawley and afc Wimbledon who have spent excessively etc to move through the leagues could not happen under new rules,
I am glad the kit will stay blue and the badge will remain but once I stopped
Listening to my heart studied the facts and used my head I decided a red Cardiff city would be better than no Cardiff city and within a small period of time would have tried to get used o the fact we have a diffrence as our song goes please don't take my cardiff away! CARDIFF AWAY! Not the bluebieds but cardiffcity fc! I will always have memories I will
Cherish after following city for the last 15 years and I am proud of our clubs history and no
Badge or kit colour can make me
Forget those memories or history, history cannot be re-written or changed in any ways but a future can an I want Cardiff city fc blue or red or white or orange bluebird or dragon to be part of
My future children's future do that they can have fond memories I have whether they see us in blue or in red'! I always have and always will support Ccfc and hope some kind of agreement can be reached by the end of the board meetin Tuesday evening
I will anxiously await the club statment

Apologies for the shitty spelling done on my I phone,
Forgot to mention the clubs that will succeed under these new rules will be the ones who can sustain the best squads of players, and we all no the players go for cash another words the more revenue generated the bigger the transfer and wage budgets the poorer the revenue possibly relegation! The main reason behind the rebrand is revenue plain and simple and not for VT's pocket as some people have said but for the clubs sustainability
