Carl is there a way to show the malaysians some of the kit designs that people have made? some of them are smart and im sure theres a way to keep all parties happy

If they had consulted us properly then this surely this could have been agreed amicably. Please remember that you were only finally consulted because of a leak.

They totally agreed with us all on that.

As I have said before, the dragon is already on our badge and I have no issue with them making it more prominent. As long as the bluebird is still there and hopefully just as prominent (but mainly as long as it is still there).

Ok, that's fair enough Annis, but this is not a 'normal' situation we find ourselves in here tonight, so can I just clarify some more.

I think a humble and honest answer to those 4 questions is necessary from you (i take it no.2 is answere, as in racists will be banned for good, so that's a life ban).

What about the other 3 points.(no.s 1, 3 and 4 above)

If you seen the posts will you apologise for not reporting them? by not reporting them YOU are allowing it.
I personally delete all racist messages, Infact I believe I had 2 pages of people moaning at me for removing what I classed as a racist post.

Naming and shaming is not as simple as you may think, the logs just show who have had messages deleted and once deleted I don't know of anyway of getting them back. And obviously messages are deleted for a number of reasons.

make me a mod and i will hunt them and feed them to you.....

Carl/Annis, everyone was entitled to their own opinion on the matter and i for the record was PRO-re-branding. wasn't happy with all proposals but saw the commercial and business sense in the idea.

both of your opinions on this site set a standard on certain issues, so in your own opinions, DO you think we are now on a slippery slope.

As for the Die Walkuer's points 1 - No we are not grasses, 2 - for life hopefully although that is probably very difficult, 3 - Yes but not make a big issue out of it, 4 - No. The mods do this in their own time and cannot read every single message put up 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Annis cannot apologies on behalf of people he probably doesn't know, hasn't met, etc.

However, Die does have a point with number 4, rather than Annis, Carl and the mods apologies perhaps something can be set up whereby all of us can sign, a statement disassociating the board (and its members) from any inflammatory and/or racist remarks?

Id gladly accept a Malaysian flag on our badge you know, it would show their commitment, swap the bird and dragon around, lose the daffodil put a small Malaysian flag there.

They red kit was never the biggest issue for me, I thought bluebirds as an idea, as a notion of who we are, needed to be saved.

It's sad to hear he was willing to put the blue bird back and it's all in jepordy now.

I will apologise for anything that I didn't do that I could have done over the last few days, as I have tried to post as many pro Malaysian posts on here as its possible to post outside of working hours.

I've seen one poster put a thread up that seems to indiacte he's one of the people, so that should be easy to sort out - and any others that can be found should also be named.

The real issue here is the attempts that can be made by the moderators to do whatever can be done to sort this mess out, and a bit of humility and apologies seem like the first thing that should be done.

Otherwise, we're doomed.

Sadly, the fact you've now intervened shows Annis is up to his old tricks (get other to dilute the issues rather than deal with simple questions in a direct way), so there's probably no hope.

Whilst those who made the remarks should be banned I can see no value in organising witch hunts via naming and shaming. A simple distancing from the offencsive remarks and a whole hearted collective appology for any offence caused to TG/VT would be the best way forward.

I've had no contact with Annis since yesterday so no idea what you mean by that comment.

Surely it's just common sense, if you see a racist comment then report it, if a mod sees it they delete it and take appropriate action immediately. That is the only way forward in making sure this message board is racist free.

Personally I don't think the rebranding has anything to do with racism, it was unacceptable before the mention of rebranding and it's unacceptable now. It doesn't make it any more unacceptable because we may not get some money.

If people could report them using the "!" it really does help us. It's not just to find them but it flags it up in a moderating section which means people can then be warned, banned etc etc a lot easier.

I'm fed up of this, This message board was never mentioned in the meeting!!!!! But Annis has chose not to say that so there is no bad feeling!!!! It's not about apologising for something he has not done, so please let's move on from this, what is the point.
