Cardiff City FC is going absolutely nowhere as a club.
Unfortunately you are not a Cardiff City Fan unless you witnessed the days of despair in the lower reaches of the football league system.
This elite breed of fan, elevate themselves to to such positions as to speak on behalf of everybody and look down their noses at all the " Johnny come lateley's", who have the cheek, to consider themselves Cardiff fans, only supporting the club during the good times.
The newer fans get slated and abused for having opinion about the football club, almost brow beaten into submission if their views do not meet those of the elite.
This is a big factor in us never progressing as a club.
The responses of many on this board come across as belittling and condesending.
Do we not want to progress?.
Why do we pay our hard earned cash, season in, season out?.
Do we not want to see the club that represents the Capital City of Wales in the Premier League?.
Surely we start every season with the hope of promotion being the ultimate goal, enjoying more ups than downs?.
I challenge anybody to tell me they do not want to see us get promotion every year a campaign begins.
Many will say money does not buy you success and while this is true in the main, I point you to the clubs that found themselves within the top six of our division at the end of this season, at least four of which had hefty finances, wealthy owners and or parachute payments.
The problem is only three promotion places to play for, so you have to get ahead of the rest in some manner or another.
The only way to do that in my opinion, is to be a wealthy club ourselves, but, in order to become wealthy, we must be open to change as fans.
I didn't particularly like the proposed changes, but considering the situation other clubs now find themselves in, was prepared to wait and see what happened, take it on the chin and get us on a sound financial footing.
Now I am not trying to dictate to others, as it seems this was the feeling amongst the "Die Hard" fans, being bent over and taken from behind!.
I do however feel that we all need to change our perception of the product we follow and loyally support, as it is no longer just a sport.
Now, there is no secret that we need money not only to survive, but also compete and progress as a club.
I feel we must also be open to fresh ideas and embrace them, rather than cast them out without thinking of the consequences.
The past is the past and will never be forgotten and everybody should be proud of our great club and it's history.
The few should not be allowed to speak for the many, simply because they are in a position to do so.
We all put good hard earned money into this club and have a right to an opinion and all the infighting and back bighting shows how weak we really are as supporters.
I for one hope that our future security has not been threatened due to hasty actions.
Come on boys, lets do what we do best and support this football club and the potential owners 100% and achieve the dream together.
Fingers crossed, the money men will still be here to help us make it happen, cos I don't think we can do it alone.
