Money isn't everything

Thu May 10, 2012 5:43 pm

No investment means no club.

Give it a rest you lot of idiots.

Ask Annis, ask anyone who watched city back in the days of Division 3 and they'll tell you how we survived then. IF we go bust then we just take the penalties and we as fans sort this nonsense out together. Stop all this crying, man the f**k up and deal with it.

They used our own passion and loyalty against us to bail out and cut their losses. No real businessmen pack it in after 48 hours. Jesus Christ wake up. Some of the people who think this investment meant everything are the most dribbling idiots ever seriously

There are plenty of options.

Fan buyout
Another investor with proper intentions

We're a capital city which has major links to a capital like London, an international airport, a loyal fan base and we're right by the bloody sea. Someone with a brain will capitalise on all those business opportunities. Look how Leeds revived themselves. Look how Chelsea were bought for £1 and then they got a massive investment.

I'd rather take some penalties and drift between the Championship and League One than be red. As far as im concerned changing to red would have been us dead anyway. The red would have symbolised the blood of the bluebird being f*cking splattered everywhere.

I like how you brought Leeds into this. They too re-branded themselves, changing from yellow and blue kit to and all white kit, they were then invested in rose up to the top. I'm not saying that we would have done the same but now the future looks bleak. Why are fans so obsessed with the past? It's the now and future that matters.

Capital is important, it puts us on the map and gets us international recognition. Ask people abroad if they've heard of Cardiff and they'll say yes, its in the UK. Often they say England but thats because they some up the UK as England  Ask them about Portsmouth and most of them wouldn't have a frigging clue.
