I have a wardrobe full of shirts, Blue, Red, Yellow

Thu May 10, 2012 1:47 pm

I wear all of my shirts the Red one, the Blue one and the Yellow one, and I don't feel any less a Cardiff supporter, I will get on with what ever is thrown at me, if this is what needs to happen for the club I have supported for 45 yrs to survive and progress i will put up with it untill we get a better offer, don't see that happening in the near future though, keep the faith :ayatollah: :old: :ayatollah:

Hopefully, things will calm down and there'll be a compromise.

The foreign owners at Chelsea, Man U, Liverpool, Arsenal, for instance, don't appear to have "re-branded" those clubs.

Chelski has enough cash Nedd, the others all sell red shirts all over the world anyway.(seems to be the main reason for re-branding)
Quite a few clubs have changed their colours over the years.
The only niggle I get is losing the blubird.
However, i do feel like Maesteg Bluebird, if it's what it takes for our club to progress then I'll go with it as it is still my club. :ayatollah:

Best scenario is a compromise though. ;)

I remember you said you preferred the St David's Cross badge we had, to the old bluebird one, so I appreciate that we'll always have some people who don't mind changes. I'm concerned, as others are, that things will go too far and I won't feel any connection to the club.

My grandfather supported Cardiff City, then my father, then me and now my son. It would be nice if it continued down the ages. I don't think everything has to change just to progress. Look at the other clubs I mentioned and you'll see what I mean. They've kept certain things that have been considered too sacred to change and it hasn't held them back.

Re the badges, I remember when our badge was just a bluebird in a circle. saw plenty of changes over the years. The St Davids one for me stood out and seemed more Welsh than any of the others. (imho)
However, the one constant that they all had was the bluebird.
As long as that could be incorporated somewhere, I would be happy.
Seems strange that there is so much turmoil amongst the fans.
I have always said, Cardiff born, Cardiff bred...well you know the rest.
When we run out on the first home game of the season I'll be there supporting Cardiff City FC. (The league will not allow us to be called anything else) Hopefully there will be a compromise and a little bluebird in flight will be on our kit somewhere. ;)

All of the above are global brands we are not, they are trying to tap into the Asian market, with the Malasin spin on it, if we were to get into the PL, could the Brand then take off? would Malasians support us and not the others, I don't think so, but there could be a lot of intrest in Cardiff City if we were to get promoted, we could increase our support from that corner of the world and that is what the plan is.

I have to agree with this.
