As much of a traditionalist as I am, I am keeping an open mind about all this porposed change!
What is our ultimate aim= Gain premiership football and to become a major player in the upper echelons of premier and hopefully European club football in time.
How will we do this? This will not be possible without a major investor in the club, if we want top class footy at the CCS (the name for the time being) then tradition maybe the price to pay to keep the Malaysians here for the long run unless other investors come forward.
I beleive if we stick by the Malaysians and they invest what they are promising then Premier league football is only a matter of a couple seasons away.
If we don't and force them away just for the sake of tradition, then are we biting our nose off to spite our face??
What do you want to see? Cardiff City in red (at home, blue away) playing Premiership football week in week out or Cardiff City playing in blue possibly struggling to stay in the championship due to lack of investment after forcing extremely rich owners away.
Plenty of other teams have changed over the years. Man Utd, Juve and dont forget we were once called Riverside FC!
It's a very diffcult situation and it will be a hard pill to swallow to change the colours and the nickname, but time is a good healer and it will all be put into history when we welcome the likes of Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal etc to the CCS every season!
