FAO leaders and organisers of the march....

Thu May 10, 2012 10:32 am

Have you really thought this through?
Just because this was the right thing to do with the riddler does it mean it is the right thing to do now?

I believe this situation is a lot more sensitive than the situation we are faced with now.

Are you planning for this march to be a peaceful and respectful march to Gentley ask tan to reconsider, or is it gonna be a full on tan is a wanker etc march!?

If you are planning on it being a respectful march, what will you do if some wannabe tough guy starts chanting bollocks about ladyboys etc?

This could undermine everything that you are marching for.
I ask you to reconsider saturday. it is too early and tempers are still raging. I believe patience is required and we need to work through steve borley to at least get TG to make some sort of statement to address people's fears before rushing into demonstrations.

Remember we are all cardiff city fans and divided we fall.

Now the dust is beginning to settle I think you maybe right. We need cool heads right now and can't afford to make rash decisions. We need to engage in amicable dialogue with the Malaysians before we do anything that could be detrimental. No one has head them say 'red or dead' yet so we shouldnt jump to conclusions. Obviously they are very keen on the re-brand but as I've said in my 'compromise' thread, there may be a way where we all get what we want without this turning ugly. It's time for a professional strategy right now before anyone thinks about kicking off big time!

Could'nt have put it any better! Lets not drive these people out and leave ourselves in a very vunerable position. Communication through the right channels is what is required.

Its idiots like this jack that want the march too turn ugly.

If you think a man like Tan will bow down to pathetic bully boy tactics from a few hundred fans you are mistaken. Dialogue is the way forward for this particular occasion.

negotiating with a man that says his actions are non negotiable - great plan.

But not one of us have actually heard him say it's non-negotiable???? At the moment it's all hearsay. We need to discuss this sensibly with them before we do anything else and try and reach a compromise that satisfies everyone. Since they've come in they have been polite and sensible, to act in this manner would go against all that and seems completely out of character. We need to hold our horses and get Tan in town for a meeting!

Steve is not a board member! How much time has he actually spent with the Malaysians discussing this in detail? Indeed, how much time have the board spent trying to talk the Malaysians round? I strongly believe these are reasonable men based on their conduct to date and if they were to meet with the fans we could reach a compromise. Surely this should be the first port of call before protests etc?

If thats what you want to do then its your right, but thousands of us feel we have a club to save and urgently - we wont rest until they listen or get out.

Jimbo, i honestly dont believe this is daya for once!

Re: FAO leaders and organisers of the march....

to be fair I admire Canton Magic's passion and understand where he is coming from but I strongly believe that before things get out of hand we firstly need an opportunity to sit down with the Malaysians and try and get our concerns across in a polite but forceful manner. This all seems very out of character for them so I am hopeful that wires have been crossed and a compromise can be reached where everyone is happy, Malaysians continue to invest, we keep blue shirts but with prominent splashes of red and the bluebird is kept on the badge but the dragon is made more prominent. I also wouldnt be opposed to a dragon design being weaved into the fabric of the shirt!

But i just dont think its daya this time

I think the clue is in the title. Canton - Magic - Daps.

Yesterday my blood was boiling, and mr chan got called a few choice ones, lets march protest etc. Today after being up half the night mulling it over, although the droping the bluebird and crest change in my eyes is a definate no goer, i can live with playing in red. as i see it a compromise for us but both parties could agree to it. mr chan will be seen in a totally different light and will be respected by myself and many others.
Whatever we do re raising our issues ,it must be done sensibley , calmly and with a cool head.
if anyone starts calling for his head and so on i dont want to be seeing a good invester walk.

CALM. we can sort this out. :ayatollah:

i didnt see that post as it was deleted before i looked at the messageboard that day. However, if he is a Cardiff fan, as he claims, his outrage is understandable and is matched by many we already know to be hardcore Cardiff fans. In any event, my point remains that the way forward for me at this moment in time is to engage in sensible discussions with the Malaysians and to try and peacefully broker a compromise before we resort to other tactics.
