I think everyone would be over the moon if we kept the Malaysian's onside, and had their much needed investment, but at the same time continued to play in blue. It looks unlikely at this stage but I think that this dream scenario has to be at the heart of any strategy formulated at the meeting on Saturday. If we could get this then the fans would happily unite behind the Malaysians and we could become a real powerhouse.
It is obviously a delicate situation but we now need some cool heads to try to engage our owners in sensible and meaningful dialogue. At this early stage we don't want to run them out of town, we need to be professional, and respectful for what they have done so far, but at the same time explain in measured tones why this is unpalatable to so many of our core support.
A lot are saying this dream scenario is impossible but we haven't even spoken to the Malaysians yet. Let's use every endeavor to do this properly and we may get the result we all want more than anything, a thriving, debt free Cardiff City, full of superstars, playing in the Premier League, in blue! It wont be easy but with the right strategy i am hopeful we can persuade them that this would be best for their Malaysian market as well as their Welsh one!
