TRADITION - WHERE IS THE CUT OFF POINT

Wed May 09, 2012 11:56 pm

So there is a lot of slagging out going on amongst fans because one half is on board with the change the other half are not, if one disagrees the other is having a go. So can people that don't want the changes because of 'tradition' and 'family heritage' answer me these questions.

Did you play balls when we moved to the new stadium ? Surely this was all about money

Do you think we should play in the Welsh leagues because we are welsh and this is our tradition ?

Do you think our squad should be full of Welsh players because this is our heritage ?

Should women still be in the kitchen and only seen and not heard ?

Should black people not be allowed to vote ?

Where is your cut off point is what I'm asking, you seemed to have accepted 108 years of change, but a colour change ? hell no

I think your goign over the top with those questions. But the main reason many of us unhappy by this decision is that our history and soul is being destroyed on the whim of our owners without even consulting us

I'm going over the top ? I'm just going by the reaction of the board, there have been racial slurs against our owners who in reality have so far saved the club. So are we saying if they had just asked then maybe we would have gone along with it ? They can't take away our history unless they change who we are as a club. So far nothing severely drastic has been asked of us, don't get me wrong I don't like it, but if the money turns into equity like it has been suggested the financial stability of the club will be the best it has ever been. Should we really be going against our owners and risking them walking away

I agree compeletly that the racial slurs are outrageous and disgusting. The prosepect of this money is certianly great but it depends where it is spent. There is no point us increasing our capacity when we can barely fill it now and there is no garuantee that we will be promoted first season because of this money.

You say they cant take away our history but they are by preventing us from being the bluebirds who we have been for 104 years is disgusting

The club don't own rights to 'nicknames' nobody does. We have given ourselves that name for 104 years, and it is up to us to keep that name, nobody can take it away from us. They may own the name of Cardiff City F.C but not Bluebirds.

We will look nothing but fools for shouting bluebirds from the stands whilst we play in red and black and dont have the bird on our badge
