Majority?

Wed May 09, 2012 6:28 pm

Only really a minority of the thousands of fans come on this board so I wonder what the majority of Cardiff city fans thoughts are on this re branding? I think most Cardiff fans want the same and that's success in the long run..we don't want to lose our identity either though but I could handle playing in red and even in a red stadium if it means more revenue and players and us becoming a big premiership team with a big following, what would be ideal is we kept our badge and name as the bluebirds and maybe had a welsh dragon somewhere on the shirt and branded into the club too so we keep the Malaysians happy cos they got the dollar, we can still be the bluebirds but I think there's gotta be compromise from both the fans and VT...It's not ideal but just guess u gotta move with the times...

I can do the red shirt, christ we had a jack shirt as our away kit, they can tinker with the badge, but it MUST be a bluebird as our emblem.....

We are Cardiff City - the bluebirds...

If the polls on this and other boards are an indicator, then it seem to be roughly 60% don't mind, 25% dead against it and the rest indifferent.

I don't think this forum or any other CCFC forum can be said to represent the majority. If anything its the minority.

My opinion is that the silent 15,000 or so are indifferent and, while they would prefer to keep the blue kit and the bird, would like stability and success first and foremost.

Exactly what I'm thinking mate, my worry is tho by looking at this board and the people on about protesting etc which is a minority of the whole of the fans prob, that it is gonna make VT f**k us off leaving us up shit creek without a paddle and end up like rangers or summin,it would be a shame to go back to the lower leagues when we have come this far, hopefully a compromise and reasonable agreement can happen

exactly my worries as well - and we could then see them go to another club (like say Bristol City) and pour millions in there and have massive success, and we'd have to look on, with our club lucky to still be in the football league, or even liquidated.

The sad thing is, many on here would love that to happen, it seems.

I'm with you guys on this one. If the only way to secure our future, have a 35000 seater stadium and push on to the Premiership is to wear a red kit and change our badge then so be it.
Too many people seem to think that the good times at Cardiff City were when we were playing in front of crowds of 3-4000. Well I don't and I don't want to go back there. These are exciting times so let's embrace the support we've been offered and take that last big step.

Just hope the Club realise that the vocal minority who do not want this do not speak for the vast majority of us.

Yes lads gotta move forward and embrace it otherwise we will go backwards fast and see what the moaners think then when the jacks and every other club are laughing at us thinking what a thick bunch had the opportunity to move on to big things but threw it all away, I'm a pride bluebird like the rest of us but gotta be realistic here.
