Cardiff Bankrupt Idea

Wed May 09, 2012 2:32 pm

A scenario would be for Tan to leave the club therefore we keep our identity.
We then go into administration.
The club then will have no debts and langston and other people owed money would be f****d as there would be no-one to pay them.
The ground that was built would be worth f**k all as no-one would buy a football ground without a team, it would only be worth the land it was on.
We could reform in the lower divisions then - (Great the good old days). SORTED :ayatollah: :D :ayatollah:

Are you serious? Theres a lot of people on here who talk nonsense by the looks of it.

Yes, lets go bankrupt and do a Merthyr. Lets see how many of you would go everyweek to watch that. Pathetic.

IT WOULD BE MORE VIABLE FINANCIALLY TO KEEP THE FOOTBALL CLUB THERE. 30 MILLION GROUND SELLS LAND FOR 1 MILLION ????????

Do you think we will need a 30K stadium if we go out of business and restart in the lower leagues or even LOW ?
I think we will be playing across the road at Athletic Stadium with a new Tesco, hotel , whatever in place of the stadium - look what happened to the ice rink !

It wont be admin, it will be liquidation, to get admin you get to get the agreement of the majority of shareholders. if we do liquidate, we can reform, but it will be in the Welsh League, we wont be allowed into the English League, this can be ratified by the club, admin would be OK as far as I see in my simplistic outlook, but it ain't an option.

iT MAY BE REC OR DEAD.

I'm glad someone else sees that it will be league of wales for us if we go bust!
And given the choice of league of wales or red shirts i know what i will opt for.

These debts are pretty bogus, inflated crap in truth.
Admin would allow silly inflated debts to be dispensed with. And only genuine debts which relate to the "value" of the club would be paid back. Therefore informal admin would be the fair way, without the points penalty.

Except the hustlers want to bullshit us saying "you wont have a club blah blah". Its simply lies from them.

Done all the shit trips years ago -Barnet on a Sunday morning - Port Vale called off on a wet Tuesday etc. It's about time we rubbed shoulders with the big boys -the Sleeping Giant has been comatose for too many years. We are and always will be Cardiff City the Bluebirds and I for one don't want to go back to the Good Old Days.
Blue - Red I don't care what colour we play in - the history of the club will always be there - let's go on and make our own history !!!

Both exactly right :ayatollah: People must put Admin out of their minds, it simply will not happen in our position

It is liquidation or RED (unless we can persuade VT otherwise).

Newport reformed prior to the Welsh Premier League being set up so they rejoined an English pyramid system that the Welsh Leagues filtered into anyway.

You are right about Merthyr though, which would suggest we would get to stay in the English system. HOWEVER you have to apply and it is not a guarantee that we will be allowed.

Re: Cardiff Bankrupt Idea

Thu May 10, 2012 2:32 pm

Let's be honest, we were let in by invitation, so surely if we were to reform we probably would have to re-apply and would you be willing to bet on the english fa wanting cardiff city if they had a chance to get rid of us!
