What if Vincent Tan decides............

Wed May 09, 2012 10:46 am

Playing Devils Advocate for a minute but What if Vincent Tan refuses to compromise and says it's my way or the by way and the protests & vitriol continues and he says enough is enough and pulls the plug and invests his 100 million in Sweansea cIty :o

We would almost certainly go into liquidation and possibly start a new club playing in the LOW but once we were out of the football league there would probably be no way back :( In the LOW i think we would initially have crowds of 5K but that would soon dwindle as the novelty wears off and meanwhle Swansea with financial backing could increase their stadium and attract a new generation of fans brought up on Premiership football our Club meanwhile would slowly die totally over shadowed by our neighbours from down West :(

The only way foward is compromise from all parties concerned including Vincent Tan who must allow us to keep our badge and the bluebirds name at the very least because the alternative is unimanagable and just imagine if the above scenario was to happen :o :(

Swansea wouldnt accept the £100m investment - they have pride.

I'm sorry mate but Huw Jenkins would bite his arm off for 100 million quid and with the Jacks already in the Premier League the rebranding probably would'nt be so drastic :(

They could get a £100m investent now on the back of their income if they wanted. They dont because they spend within their mens and dont want to owe a forign businessman a tenth of a billion.

If Tan is prepared to pull out because he has a hissy fit based on superstition then do you really trust him with the future of our club?

My point was we were financially in a mess, and the other fella said we arent because it will be sorted. Hardly sorted is it, we just owe it to someone else.

Immediately pull the plug on his takeover and go into administration.

You dont think a Premier League club with £50-£60 million income per year could attract a £100 million investment?

Well your clueless then.

Did we think we had any other choices with Kumar, Sam or Risdale???? Everytime we were saved and now we are a top 6 Championship team with good prospects of reaching the Premier League where there is an ocean of money! We have a state of the art new stadium with room for expansion, we have state of the art training facilities which Man Utd deemed good enough last week and following our Carling Cup exploits against Liverpool we became known throughout the world! The Malaysian's are not the be all and end all.

That's just a small summary of our history though, with no realistic options put forward!

Re: What if Vincent Tan decides............

And everyone who says Rangers can't find a buyer are completely missing the point! In the SPL clubs are extremely limited on TV revenues. In fact I believe that they are as low as £1m per season. If we were to reach the Premier League just for one season we would be guaranteed £90m!!! We are far more attractive than any club in Scotland because of this, particularly when you consider we already have a new stadium and state of the art training facilities!

Sorted as in we dont owe it anymore yes.

If I lent you £100 and then when you couldnt pay, some guy said he would pay it on your behalf but you then owe him (+7%) then it wouldnt really be sorted now would it.

That makes no sense. You knew I was talking about us having the debt over us yet are still claiming you won the bet because we will owe the same debt just to someone else.

without tans money you are finished , without tans money we would be in exactly the same position as we are now, a healthy bank balance in the premier league, we don't have to sell our history and heritage that is the big difference , we won't go whoring ourselves to the highest bidder we don't need to

what will be next though fella's , because he's doing whatever he wants and you can't do anything to stop it
