I slept on it last night and I have changed my mind

Wed May 09, 2012 5:21 am

Last night I didn't mind but after sleeping on it and thinking about everything from top to bottom I really don't like these proposals. Its just wrong. Can you imagine the uproar if Liverpool were asked to play in White at home? Its no different to that. Red is what they're all about and Blue is us through and through.

We are the only club that would accept such proposals though. nobody else would stand for it.

Im torn over the whole thing, first of all i support Cardiff City FC wether thats in a blue, red or multicoloured kit and from what i can gather they are trying to safeguard the future of our club with huge investment (if it comes in), albeit by seemingly losing a part of our history, this is what my head is telling me but my heart says that we are Cardiff City FC the Bluebirds, we have a history with this name, we have always been blue and thought we would always be in blue. Maybe we need to move with the times i dont know, when a woman gets married then her name changes but all her friends and family know her past and where she came from

I know women who keep their names to carry on tradition. I would expect my wife to keep her own name. I dont want a wench associated with mine. :ayatollah:

Another example is when Mike Ashley (Newcastle Owner) changed the name of their ground to the Sport Direct Arena!! St. James' Park is what has made Newcastle a big club in english football, and the uproar about it was immense!

We need to create an uproar twice, three times, maybe four times as big in order to get our point across, as its not just the stadium these Malaysians are trying to tamper with, its the club as a whole. Newcastle fans will know a little bit of what we are feeling right now!
