" STICK TOGETHER "

Tue May 08, 2012 10:43 pm

Just heard about the plans that the Malaysians have for Cardiff. May I just say, f**king unreal! Another example of pure ignorance being shown by rich 'investors', against the real people of a football club - the supporters. It is YOUR club not Vincent Tan's and Cardiff City can survive without this idiot. We had various rumours down the Bush once Briatore finally got his feet under the table, rumours of a name change to 'London Rangers', kit change, we suffered a hideous badge change but we were vocal enough to make him reconsider. So stick together, you ARE the BLUEBIRDS and that is recognised not only throughout the footballing community of the UK but the world as well. He won't take Cardiff City down, he will lose to much money, he will sell and f**k off, if the unison of your opposition is strong enough. BE LOUD AND BE PROUD AND BE BLUE!!!!!!!!

20,000 City supporters will never let their club die, Cardiff City will still be around long after Vincent Tan prunes his moustache for the last time.

but its probably only a vocal minority that would have a major problem with this.

Trust me, this would be the thin end of a very large wedge. Tan will eventually want to see good profit from the club and your season ticket prices will be next in line. Seen it, worn the t-shirt, eaten the pie.

Alfie, whatever disagreements this board and the other board have had in the past (and everything in between), now is the time for us ALL to unite and drown out the minority who seem content with this fiasco

Thanks for the good wishes DW. This is any fan's worst nightmare. Rather be in the Conference with Wrexham and Newport County.

Football has long since lost its identity thanks to the SKY money. This season has been pure tedium for me and a part of me longs for a return to the Championship, but sadly it seems that even the NPC has sold its soul to the filthy lucre.

One further piece of advice, from which I have already noticed on this board. This issue will cause deep divisions between supporters and the vitriol will surprise you. This happened with our support, those who supported Briatore and Ecclestone and those who we thought were in the pay of Paladini. It is not pleasant and it is still regretably solved, some supporters are still treated with the utmost contempt and suspicion still. You need to stick together as one to save your football club. Forget the propaganda, because that is exactly what it is. They will use scare tactics, (two weeks from administration) and carrots (£100 million investment), at the same time to create a division and this is what they want and will achieve if you are not careful, then they will get what they initially want before it all ends in tears.

Dont bother, we are the only club in Britain that will have fans loving it. Anyone who promises us Prem football and we go weak at the knees, if it means th history and traditions of our club then so be it.

We are an embarassment.

The sad part is, there are millions of us feel the same way. Clubs up and down the land. From the biggest to the smallest.
We need an offshoot/expansion of the Football Supporters Federation so we can all fight the vermin that is infesting our national sport.

Walking the walk and talking the talk so far. We know he is a Hammer, but he has so far put his money where his mouth is, he reduced season ticket costs and spent £20million in January, albeit on some right shite. He has also purchased land for a new training centre and the youth set up has now regained Academy Status. One thing about TF is that for many years he lived in a bedsit in Uxbridge Road just half a mile from Loftus Road, so he knows about the club and the feel of the club to the local community. He does seem to have bought into the psychology of QPR, but that is not to say we could have a nasty surprise round the corner, we remain wary. He has also confirmed that if we were relegated then the long term vision for the club would not be jeopardised, i.e. no sale of players, unless other clubs want to pay silly money, funds remain set aside for a new stadium, (hopefully using the existing Loftus Road as a blueprint, (the place has really been rocking this season and has been a little nasty for the opposition at times :D ). But we also have the Mittals, with Amit Bhatia heading this shareholding, and that is one guy who has been bitten by the QPR bug badly, he loves the club and refused to give up on QPR when he resigned during last summers upheavals with Briatore and Ecclestone. His father-in-law wanted him to walk away but he refused. Going back to TF, one thing that we can certainly say about him is that he is approachable, he will respond to tweets all the time and has put himself in the firing line on a few occasions and stood up to the criticism. It has also not been unknown for him to pop into a local pub pre-match and have a beer with supporters.

In essence, he is much more tuned in with British football than your Malaysians, having lived in the UK for a good number of years and listening to him speak you would have thought that he was born and bred in W12. Hopefully he sticks to his words, but after the experiences of Briatore and Ecclestone, we remain cautious.
