If Blake and Earnie leave? No Welsh players

Tue May 08, 2012 8:02 am

I know that not having no Welsh players in our squad doesn't bother a lot of you, (which I can almost understand as long as we are winning!!) but it really bothers me!!!!!!!

From Nathan Blake, Perry, Legg, Bowen, Delaney through to Matthews, Ledley and Ramsey the Welsh boys have always been my 'favourites' and just made me feel reassured in a way that we have players from the same place as those of us on the terraces. If you dig deeper then theres a debate for half the songs we chant have no relevance and are contradictory! God I am cynical this morning!!!!

Thoughts, opinions?

yeah i see your point, but modern day football its not about representing your area its about who pays the biggest wage.
though a lot of clubs do like to see that 'local boy done good' scenario such as Newcastle United and Liverpool, but unfortunately its only an opinion from the fans point of view.
i like local players but i dont believe its vital for our club to succeed.

Abe Noor is the best our youth has to offer. Skillful, pacey winger. But long, long, long way off first team action.

See your point too! The biggest wage mentality has taken something special out of the game that I love. We sadly won't ever get a dressing room of local accents for any club in any league in the UK. Even International dressing rooms are going the same way!
