Was this season the honeymoon period?

Next season will we have a relegation battle on our hands? I think we will unless we spend a hell of a lot.
This year I think players overperformed and did better because of the buzz around the place with all the changes and so forth and how well we were doing earlier on. Then it died out for a bit and we were close to missing out on playoffs but they held it together.
I can see this as the honeymoon period under Malky but next year, especially with the strength in the league, being a real struggle.
Teams that will be playing for top 6
Blackburn
Wolves
2 of Birmingham/Blackpool and WHU
Bolton or QPR
Leeds under Warnock will be a threat
Boro will be a threat
Its going to be a long season with tough trips. I can see us finishing mid table to be honest.

If you can keep hold of Malky and Man United/Barcelona don't poach him you will win the league. FACT.
