The lack of Investment in January really cost us, but I think financially the Malaysians didn't want to up.
My under standing is if we go up before the Langstone Debt is cleared we pay a significant fee to them. So if the board invested say 10m in January against next seasons budget Sam is entitled to I believe(but could be wrong) about 10-15m that would only leave about 15m for wages and transfers to overhaul the squad for premier league football.
Just my opinion, not based on rumours or anything and not slagging anyone off

correct,not just that they would have had to pay langstone more they would have always had to pay more out in the summer to take full control of the club

You know I think there is a hint of truth in this. Something was not right in these play offs.
