We OVERachieved this season

Mon May 07, 2012 6:43 pm

The least enjoyable brand of football from my team side Bobby Gould.

The most average bunch of players since then too.

The most confusing tactics and substitutions EVER

The biggest ever lack of fluidity and creativity EVER

The least shots at goal EVER EVER EVER

YET WE FINISHED 6TH ABOVE SOME FAIRLY BIG HITTERS AND WON THE CARLING CUP! (yo know what I mean):ayatollah:

I had us down for 10th to 8th at the beginning, so we have OVERACHIEVED but just don't know how???????? Its been that average all season!

So as baffling as his game plan and style is (is there one? not today for sure!) and don't get me started on substitutions and his favourites, oh and the banning of shots outside the pen box (Hudson excluded) he's actually on paper done really well!

But bloody hell, today was abasmyl and bordering on embarrassing. Taylor, Kev, Gunnar, Liam and Miller were crap but laughing?

Please correct all the above for next season Malky and automatic will be ours for sure.

Yes we over achieved and I would have bitten your hand off in August if you offered a Carling Cup Final and the play offs.
We don't know what financial restrictions Malky has had or what players he missed out on.
If we are to progress then 7-8 players need to be shipped out and 7-8 brought in.
We have some great youngsters in Mason,Kiss, Gunnarson and Ralls.
We need pace out wide, a central midfielder who is a destroyer and a physical tall mobile striker.

Yes I do not understand Malky's lack of tactics and can't understand why when we need goals he leaves Earnie on the bench, but In Malky I trust.
I am really looking forward to next season which will be Malky's team.

Well said, if he got that lot to a cup final and 6th when there are about 15 squads better than ours on paper.

This is Malkys summer, next season is malkys team perhaps we will see the logic.

On a sadder note, I wish he gave earnie 5 mins as I guess that's the last time we will see of him as a bluebird. Wonder if it was Darcys farewell ?

Hope its not Darcys farewell, with Ramsey, matthews, Ledley all long departed, whose the local lad left to cheer? That means hell of a lot to me. Why didn't he get a run at centre back ffs, his best position, Rooney etc, I have heard all the rumours about him, but he marked Shrek out of the game at Wembley. Not many can claim that. Has to be retained for me, but only as centre back.
