Liverpool -v- Arsenal 1989 (the 'Fever Pitch' match)

Mon May 07, 2012 12:42 pm

I'm sure we all remember that game - Arsenal needed 2 goals at Anfield (against a much better Liverpool team than they've got now), to win the league - and if they didn't win by 2 goals, Liverpool themselves would have won the league.

We all know how it ended :ayatollah:

We can do the same thing today :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Come on City :ayatollah:

Or more recently, remember the 2005 Champions League Final?

Half time: Liverpool 0-3 Milan.
Full time: Liverpool 3-3 Milan.

Yes, that's another example of an unlikely win by a team looking doan and out :ayatollah:

Remember it well. the Liverpool team went mad when Arsenal scored their first goal, think they thought it was off side or something, but it really unsettled them. Second Arsenal goal in injury time, if i remember correctly.

We could do with the same today! :old: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:
