Bellamy possible return

Sun May 06, 2012 9:01 am

With Liverpool's defeat in the FA cup final, Dalglish's sack has taken a step closer to actually happening early this summer. If the new manager didn't fancy Bellamy, his options would be limited with City's name obviously linked with the player. The three main issues are as I see them.
1) would cost us £25-30,000 a week in wages at least
2) would only appear in about 35 games Max (IMO)
3)Would Malky go for him

This is pure speculation , but you never know, especially with the City

I can't believe our fans cheered him in the Carling cup final, how must of our play's felt to hear that ?

I agree with you

So did I

i think city fans need to wake up regarding ex players over the past few seasons we ve cheered players during the game, players such as bellamy, thompson, chopra, mcanuf, mccormack and most have come back and scored against us,its fair enough giving them a clap when they are warming up or when there name is read out but, as far as im concerned when the game has kicked off they are the opposition so why should we carry on given them incouragement??????

I agree most players walk out on us for something better, the ones sold against their will do deserve a bit of praise.
Interesting thing is what will be Dave Jones reception when he returns, even though I think he had to go I hope he gets a good one

its was time for dave jones to go and im not sure what reception he ll get same hated him will others thought he should stay,im all up for the banter against ex players and managers,i remember hartson getting all the abuse a few years back and it put him right off his game but the support of our own team should come first :ayatollah:

Bellamy return?? no thanks, been there, done that, although he gave us some great moments the gamble (his wages and promotion) didn,t work although that was not all down to him, far from it, but he would still demand huge wages, a period at the club under dave jones that we are trying to get away from, also his knee problems are not getting ant better!!!!

Re: Bellamy possible return

no thanks
had his chance, bye,bye.

Re: Bellamy possible return

He fought against us at Wembley.

I'd sooner see him in a RED32 shirt than the holy blue shroud.

I've no respect for the man has a person and his days as a player are few.

The club wouldnt pay transfer fees or full loan wages for players in january - feb when we was in 2nd place in the league two points off top and these two loans im talking about was not even on half of what bellend would be on yet we squabbled over them and got nothing, so what chance we got of getting him

Re: Bellamy possible return

I can't blame him if Kenny put him in the squad but he has so much passion last season.

All that nonsense started when Earnie returned and scored for Norwich at NP. I was amazed when thousands clapped when he scored against us. Don't get me wrong, I am Earnie's greatest fan, but he came very close that day to getting a pie thrown at his head.
When they leave a club, they either go for ambition or money - either way it shows they dont give a toss for that club any more. Stuff em all I say. Its different for the fans - unless you are a complete tosser, you are with that club for life.

That's one of the reasons why we are and always will be a small club with a large number of fans with such small minded attitudes. Supporters of big clubs always welcome back ex-players, never forget them and people like you conveniently forget that because of wages we were never going to get Bellamy this season. We only got him last season because Man City were so accomodating and Bellamy could have gone elsewhere but was determined to sign for us. Yes he made some silly comments in pre season such as playing for us for nothing, Man City know that there is only one club he wants to play for etc etc but in hindsight he just got carried away and spoke without thinking it through properly. In an ideal world that's exactly what would have happened but the real world eventually took over where sensible thinking and head not heart decisions were made. That small minded attitude from people like you towards Bellamy and many other ex- players really makes me sick because it's that attitude that is part of the reason that we will never be a proper BIG club.

  Somewhat naive.

I love the warm welcome Arsenal fans always give the England left back, or Sol Campbell.

The Man u fan positively cheered Tevez's every touch
