A forum for all things Cardiff City

Hello lads,
As a Dutchman with Irish roots I've always took a great interest in British and Irish politics, news and sports. Of course I follow City, but I also watch British television and read your newspapers when I can. But what always strikes me is the way British media cope with UKIP. I can't watch a BBC item on UKIP without hearing them compare Ukip to the BNP or some other racist group in Britain or Europe. Why are the British media attacking Nigel Farage for some very legitimate points he makes? I personally don't share his views on the economy but what he's saying about a possible English parliament and the break-up of the EU makes total sense to me. The EU is an anti-democratic institution run by people who are so detached from real live that they actually think that they know what's best for Europe, when in fact they've been damaging the place for the last decades and will be doing so untill this project stops. UKIP is one of the few voices of opposition in the EU parliament and I guess if we on the continent could vote UKIP, the EU would have been long gone by now.
What do you think of UKIP and the EU?
Cheers,
Jordy

Irrespective of what they appear to stand for the leadership of UKIP are pro-European. Do some research and find out how they treated David Noakes, allegedly. See this website to start.

I've never heard of him before, so I just googled him and watched some of his vids on youtube. But he's a bit of an odd one, isn't he? Al those 'Bilderberg' conspiracy theorists are quite obsessed with themselves and their ideas.

We on the continent see Farage as one of the few people in Europe who really defends our democratic right, in a sense he's a real European. He defends the French, us Dutchies and the Irish by pointing out that we all voted against a EU constitution/Lisbon Treaty (but after a fear mongering campaign the Irish finally gave in) and he defends the Greeks and the Italians by telling those EU bureaucrats that they've replaced democratic governments with puppet's from Goldman Sachs.
I really can't understand why someone would vote for a party like the LibDems, the ultimate sell outs.
