Sheffield Wednesday

Don't want them to come up.
Dave Jones will have done in three months what he couldn't do for us in five years, albeit from a different league.
I do however feel it was all of Gary Megson's hard work that he shouldn't be taking the limelight for.

He's took them on a cracking run since taking over though. He is due some of the credit and if results stay as is, he'll get it.

But wouldn't Gary Megson have got them promoted?

No. they'd won something like one game in ten when DJ took over and they were in serious danger of falling out of automatic contention.

Obviously we'll never know, but I don't think they were as a fluent as they have been of late, and for that DJ has to take credit.

Oh, fair play to him then, just don't see why he could never seem to do it with us

Dave Jones took over a good team. He had to build a team when he took over us.

While selling his best players every season and replacing them with frees and sub 500k transfers.

f*cking numbskull. Jones has dropped 4 points in 12 games so no, megson wouldnt have taken them up.

Wot if I said the sheff weds fans got behind jonesy and the team pushing them through but at Cardiff our fans slated him as often as poss and booed the team off the pitch. Same is gonbs happen with malky cos our pricks of fans would rather boo than support, it won't change till the plastics piss off. There are some old heads who are knobs mind. I heard 'malky out' from a 40 year old bloke walking down the stairs of 116 Ninian stand. Idiot. Hope he reads this then sorts his life out

Wednesday were third when Jones took over. Most average managers would have kept Wednesday in the play offs under the circumstances that Jones inherited. He would be taking them into the play offs if Ched Evans had not gone down.

Jones is leading a charmed life.

Why can't u praise him. Superb manager and still had a lot to do. Didn't do bad for a bottler did he?

Because basically he screwed up here. He had the best squad we ever had and screwed it up. He was on premiership wages thanks to the Riddler, given the best player in the country and still screwed it up.

Regarding the bottler statement he inherited a club that should not be in that league. A massive club playing against clubs that would fit into a corner of Hillsborough, just how Jones likes it. Going to be different next season. I wonder if the Owls fans will love him when he starts pointing the finger at them when things start to go wrong.

Congrats to Wednesday and Sam Salim :ayatollah: , Will they be the next team from league 1 to win back to back promotions ?

Re: Sheffield Wednesday

Sat May 05, 2012 5:18 pm

So u r saying he took them up cos they don't deserve to be there, but we've never been in the prem so why do we deserve it. West ham had best players this year but didn't win the league. Best players mean nothing, having a team is wot counts, such as qpr last year and reading this. I think ppl need to realise that we had to sell our players cos we had no money, nearly got wound up, had to go to places like Chelsea in fa cup with 2 young boys Blake and Wildig in centre mid. It was a hard ye, but guess wot, jonesy got us to the playoff final. Or shall we credit megson with that too. I agreed that his time had come when we sacked him but we should still thank him. The same as u'd cheer chopra, the man who went out drinking and gambling, but that's ok cos he scored some goals

Will be brilliant to see DJ back in the championship. An amazing turner around in form since he took over from Megson.

In case you didn't watch any of our games last season, certainly around the last three months under DJ we were errm defending and hoofing it.

Re: Sheffield Wednesday

"They only got promoted because Ched went to prison"

Ive read some bitter shit on here against DJ but this tops the lot

Ched only missed 3 games and Utd had no trouble scoring, it was keeping them out of the other end was the problem.

Well done DJ. Great to see him back and doing well. Amazing run to take the autos. :ayatollah:

Really i remember some exciting football myself the last 3months weather or not i liked the man on the pitch is what counted for me but bar 6games since the start of feb ive never seen so much boring dire football played by us in years to be honest yet we made the playoffs by some miricle after jan it was downhill with results more draws than ever. So thank f**k we done well for the first half of the season because if you add up what we got after end of jan to the last league game of the season you will find we are well in the bottom half of the table just above the bottom FOUR. :ayatollah:
