He does need to be scoring more and it is a problem we only have one striker really.
Mason excellent but played a lot of time out wide and from a lower league.

Others simply not good enough. We need more options

As I said, do a search and you'll find other posters, who also know nothing about football and especially about the lack of options in our squad, who are able to help Kenny out!

Kenny is really down on confidence, and I blame Malky for this, Malky should have given him a rest cos the more he plays him and the more he is missing the goal the more Kenny is getting down and Low. You can see that when he is missing in his face he is almost ready to scream and cry.

Kenny, along with most of the first choice players have certainly been flogged this season, but with the size of our squad and especially after not strenghening as much as we'd have liked in January, Malky hasn't too many options at his disposal!

Malky had the option of putting Ernie on but never even had him on the bench ! When Rudy was fit he could have even use him to start. No sorry Malky must take some of the blame for kenny as he is now.

nah millers just shit period he's only ever scored goals in th SPL which is just joke. Has had many chances to score this season and has f*cked 95% of them up

Rome wasn't built in a day and I think most of even our most fickle fans would have to admit, that we've assembled quite a decent squad since the outgoings last Summer!

We're all disappointed we didn't bring in a few more than we did in January, but it's early days in the Malky rebuilding process!

Even though it looks as though we're going to fall a bit short this season, it's still been a success in my eyes, as you'll only have to ask Leicester who spent a fortune this season and as well as the Carling Cup run, we were the only team to make the Play Offs, who weren't in the Premier League last season!

so if i dont agree with overthemoon i know nothing about football lets see shall we ,imo the goal keeper tries to stop the ball going in the net ,the defenders are there to defend, some times help to score from set pieces, and the midfielders are there to create chances for the strikers, aswell as attack and defend as and when ,and the strikers are there to score the goals ,our costliest number 1 striker has scored 1 goal in 21 games, imo who everelse could have been picked instead ,would probably have scored the same if not more ,i think earnie scored 4 goals from 10 starts, on that ratio if he had started in the last 21 games he would of scored at least 8 goals, not sure what that would have done to our finishing position, but hey ho what would i know

My thought is this, Miller should have had more goals - that's pretty obvious.

Our other option is earnie who IMO if he started as many games would have got more goal.
However with earnie starting I don't think we would have had as many goals from others players in the team and we would have fewer points.

Summary - Miller had to start.

I agree Miller should be scoring more as our main striker but I think he is a good player and been a good adition to the team. Also i find it very difficult to agree with you when you can't spell now!

Malky has clearly decided, that he wants to continue with his 4-5-1 or 4-4-1-1, which I don't think Earnie will fit into and I can't see any other options amongst the squad either!

Unless Malky decides to revert to an earlier unsuccessful 4-4-2, especially with Rudy being injured, I cant see any other option than sticking with a misfiring Miller!

To be fair I dont thiink the OP mentioned it was exclusive to Monday.

Id like to see him upfront in a two, with a more attacking approach, before I totall right him off but some of his snatches at chances are pretty poor for someone of his experience. On other occasion he has been unlucky, he strikes the woodwork an awful lot.

I agree with this post, but feel that a lot of people are not necessarily keeping blind faith with Miller, just that they believe he is better than the other options!

I know that you don't rate him either, but if Rudy was fit for Monday, I think Malky would start him to ruffle the Hammers's centre backs, who were barely doubled on Thursday!

He might not of but I think it's obvious we will strengthen upfront in the summer.

I think if we had more options we would have been taken out the firing line by now.
Two new strikers and miller and Mason competing would give us depth.
