Stranger things have happend, maybe a championship side will get to the fa cup and the carling cup final in 5 years? Maybe one of the best forwards in English football will sign got his home town club in the championship? If any club can pull of the unlikely I think it is Cardiff city fc! All or nothing throw all we have at it play all the strikers we have if you want. We have to score 2 so let's give it a go will west ham have mayday on may day????

I agree. West Hams goals did have an element of luck and I think at the very least, we matched them in the second half.If we can score an early goal on Monday then you never know how West Ham would react especially if the crowd got nervous.I personally think that one nil would have been a fairer result as I don't think that West Ham deserved the 2 nil win because although they were better than us on the night it wasn't by that much.

We'll have to score first for sure.

WHU did boss the game for large periods tonight but just watching the highlights we gifted them the first goal and the second goal was a huge deflection. Other than that Marshall made one good save to a Cole header and that's it.

Miller has two good efforts for us in the first half, second half turner had one cleared off the line having beaten the Green. Gunnar should have done better with an effort (or passed to Lawrence), Hudson unlucky with a header, Mason just offside, potential pen (prob not tho). Another day it could have been different.

Yes it's not over yet,but we are playing a team who have lost just 1 game in it's last 19.

Also only Reading are the only team to go to Upton Park and win by more than 1 goal this season.

Good Luck to MM and the team - Been a good season whatever the out come next monday :ayatollah:

Another way of loooking at it is that no other team has needed to go there and win by more than 1 goal as we will need to do on Monday.

I think psychology is the most relevant issue here, as clearly the way they were playing at the end showed they were happy with what they had. I believe that thinking will permeate their game plan for Monday.

Now, it's a big 'if', but if we do score first, they will be terrified, as in their minds (both crowd and players) they will think of this as a done deal at this stage - and if that happened, they would play with genuine fear, I believe.

Added to this is that we have to go there with a strong attack minded game plan, which will help us I think.

I'm not saying it's going to be easy, but they have clearly shown psychological frailties in not being in the top 2 and if we can just get that first goal, I think we will see a very exciting match.

I accept though, that if they get the first goal, its all over.
