Not good enough for the Premier League

Thu May 03, 2012 9:38 pm

Sorry lads, after seeing that tonight there's no way you'd be good enough to cope in the big league. You'd get less points than Derby did.

I can understand you all love Malky cos.... well he's Malky but if i had to watch that style of football week in week out i wouldn't be happy.A team is only as good as it's strikers and in Miller and the disappointing Mason you look poor.

Must be a difficult night for you all so i wont rub it in any more

No but tonight he was disappointing and not the player to get you promoted.he's only a kid mun and should not be expected to spearhead a promotion challenge. You need a proper striker to get out of this league.

Kenny Miller

Tonight wasn't good however if you watched our trip to palace the pass and move was good. Mason is inexperienced but he will be a 5mill pound player in a few years-look at his finish at Wembley for a start....

'In a few years' being key here Gareth.

Kenny Miller

He scored against Liverpool. If you're good enough you're old enough.

Next year we will hopefully see 46 games from Joe (maybe 38 with a 0-3 on Monday) and he will hopefully get 20 goals to fire us up. We need better wide players if we are to progress.

Fair points but on tonights showing then i'd still have to say i'd rather someone else up there and if you do go into next season with Mason and Millar as your attacking options then you'll struggle in my opinion. And even more so in the Premier League.

All about opinions-Mason will only get better. Miller is a good player-not had much luck in front of goal this year. We do need a pacy player desperately.

Regarding Prem League you lot have done well but take siggurrddson (ex spelling!)away and do you think you'd be bottom 3/4. My belief is that GS has been the difference between you emulating Blackpool (start well and fade).

Gylffi's been great but at the same time took a certain aspect away from our game when he joined ie Danny Graham.Im sure loads of Jacks will say im talking bollocks but since Gylffi came here most of our attacking starts with him and ends with him and poor DG10 not getting the service he had earlier on in the season. We've relied on Gylffi a lot and he's come up trumps but to say we'd have 'done a Blackpool' had he not signed im not so sure.

Do i hope we sign him? O feckin yes!!!!!!! :D

This guy has made a good point. I reckon instead of playing it long we oughta try passing the ball from keeper -> left back -> centre half -> keeper -> to right back -> to centre half -> keeper -> deep midfielder -> keeper -> left back -> centre half -> keeper -> to right back -> to centre half -> keeper -> deep midfielder -> keeper -> left back -> centre half -> keeper -> to right back -> to centre half -> keeper -> deep midfielder -> keeper -> left back -> centre half -> keeper -> to right back -> to centre half -> keeper -> deep midfielder -> keeper -> left back -> centre half -> keeper -> to right back -> to centre half -> keeper -> deep midfielder -> keeper -> left back -> centre half -> keeper -> to right back -> to centre half -> keeper -> deep midfielder -> keeper -> left back -> centre half -> keeper -> to right back -> to centre half -> keeper -> deep midfielder -> keeper -> LONG BALL , coz hopefully the other team will be asleep by then

For who ? I wasn't referring to any team in particular , it was just a tactical thought. Who does it work for ?
