Painful tonight

Thu May 03, 2012 8:40 pm

No quality in the side. Even more so no quality upfront. We need quality and if anywhere we need it upfront.

It has been a good season without doubt. Not many championship clubs have got to a major cup final and the play offs in the same season. Adding to all that we are still picking up the pieces from the last few seasons. We have a number of players that are dead wood and hopefully will be gone this summer to be replaced by a lot better.

For what its worth lads few bits you should remember.

Although you had a bad first half, you showed a lot more character in the 2nd

You created some very good chances that really should of been tucked away.

You always create even when your bad, that can only be a good thing.

2-0 is a very dangerous scoreline for West Ham, if you can get a goal early in the 2nd leg a confident, expectant home crowd will start to feel the pressure & that will get through to the players giving you guys a good advantage to push on.

Not a good night but far from over.

There has been the problem all season. Lack of quality up front.

Lack of pace is costing us. Give Kadeem Harris a start on Monday.

Bloody hell, that's a bit strong  Although I know what you mean, Monday is neither the time or the place.

I will say one thing though, which is the fact that it's not difficult to see that whereas Lawrence is a natural wide midfielder Don Cowie isn't and therefore, the side is often unbalanced. We need a natural left-sided player for midfield but we haven't got one, and won't have one until next season.

Harris an unknown quantity-West Ham know bugger all about him. Sometimes you have to gamble.

You say we should gamble Gareth (Wilts) but we have in Malky a belt and braces manager where the word gamble is not in his mind set

Could be worth a go. We don't really have anything to lose now, anyway.
