The 70s BBC2 - Cardiff V Man Utd 1974

There a few brief clips of the 1974 riot in Cardiff on The 70s on BBC2 last Monday.
it discussed the rise of football hooliganism in the early seventies. It didn't mention the Man Utd riots themselves but they showed a few clips of it. There is a good moment when the fans are running over the crossing by Clare Road/Ninian Park Road.
It goes on to mention how feared Manchester United fans were back in 1974. They went on the rampage in Wolverhampton as well that year.
all in all it seems the middle aged men stopped going to football and took up other interests which left the younger men unchecked and free to do what they wanted.
I guess the older men felt disilusioned at the over paid premadonnas like Best and Marsh etc.
