It was only 2 years ago that they were in administration, paying creditors only a penny in the pound, and here we are now watching them make their way to the £90 million pound Holy Land, with the likelihood that at least one or two of those small businesses they owed money to no longer being in existence because of Southampton's choice to take the easy way out.
I know many will say it's just me being bitter, and yes, to a certain extent it is as we have gone about our business in a far more professional manner, refusing to rip local businesses off by entering administration and instead choosing to work through it with them to ensure a better resolution to our debts than merely wiping them out and taking the 10 point hit as our only punishment.
So surely this Southampton situation cannot be allowed to happen again, and wouldn't it be a fairer system if not only do you have to take a points hit, but also are prevented from any form of promotion for a period of time, or until you have paid all previous creditors IN FULL!!!!!.....

I'm pleased for Southampton. Always liked them as a club, I like Nigel Adkins, don't mind their fans, like the city and I'm so glad they pipped West Ham to the promotion spot.

Agree mate - never heard any Saints fans gloating about them being loaded now unlike the inbreds down the road from us.

Mate I'm living down in pompey for the year, and believe me, there is gloating happening.... directed straight at pompey fans who are sadly in the gutter at the moment!
To me thats worse than what the inbreading programme have done over the year.
