Also have had problems with Gout put it down to drinking to much strongbow and red wine sometimes together. Was in agony for about 6 weeks , then i was told to try Diclofenac so went to the doctors again, within days i was pain free. I now only drink white wine or a few beers dont get much trouble anymore. If your still in pain get back to your GP ask for Diclofenac it works for me everytime i get pain.Good luck.

I was having 2 attacks a week and couldn't walk, was on alluporol, naproxen and co codomol which just kept it at bay but still had the odd attack, after scouring the net for info I decided to get a carton of cherry juice from asda 4 for 3 quid and drink a glass every morning and night and the odd sip from the bottle when thirsty and BINGO after a week no more gout,I haven't had an attack since and I like a beer and suffered severe attacks,I no longer take any medication,I suffered for over a year and tried everything.

DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR GET TO ASDA AND GIVE IT A TRY IT WORKS FOR ME

Nearest pain I can compare it too is fracturing a bone in your foot,OUCH
Normally attacks middle aged men,you will be surprised how many have it,they just don't mention it....go to bed all fine and dandy, wake up and you can't walk..Nightmare

What courses it mate, do you know? Just so I know how to prevent gettin it as I get a older like! Cos by the way you and other posters have described in this thread, I realy don't ever wana suffer with it

When I get gout, everybody suffers !! It's horrific, first time I had was at boro in the quarter finals, if you went and saw an idiot with his shoe in his hand and limping like rik Waller just stood on it, then that was me.. It's due to your body not being able to flush out Urochordata acid, either from ingesting too much or just your body can't shift it... It then crystalises inside your joints and tendons and become tiny daggers, when you move those daggers are causing damage which can make your joint sore for longer... I'm now on allopurinol every day but I fancy trying that drink that the previous poster put, cos I've heard cherry juice is about the beat natural remedy... Apparently attacks more than
6 months is frequent..

i am on alluprinol, but i was taking cherry juice, go to a supplements shop and get the concentrated cherry juice, tastes like shit but works well
there is a shop in pontypridd that sells it. made in germany
the pain feels like someone slammed your toe with a 10 pound sledge hammer

I feel like the fuckin elephant man this morning

If you have it now, then I suggest you drink as much water as you can, to help flush it out . I then take ibuprofen 2x400 mg of the bastards... I bet its glowing too .. It takes the edge off... Usually lasts from about 2/3 days and then eases off..

CHERRY JUICE FROM ASDA,forget all this concentrate and herbal shit CHERRY JUICE 2 GLASSES A DAY MORNING AND NIGHT,and it stops your hangover,I can have a drink and eat what I want with no medication and I had a severe form of it.Not taken a tablet for months now the cherry juice seems to prevent it.

you cant describe it to antone who has not had it. I had it so bad once that if i had a shotgun i would have blown my foot off to get rid of the pain.
