If it all goes wrong next Saturday and we are faced with a near miss in regards to a playoff place, will that be that bad a thing? I'm asking a question more than making a statement. The reason I ask this is the fact that Carl is talking about the Malaysians paying off a large portion of our debt at the end of the season and as we all know, the malaysians hold the purse strings fairly tightly and if they have to pay xxxxx amount of millions to cover historical debts, would they be able to provide Malky with a suitable budget to avoid being the premier league whipping boys for a season?? I know it's a big payday going up, but our recent cup run shows the Malaysians may not reinvest prize money into the transfer budget, that being said im obviously aware the cup run and promotion deliver vastly different amounts. As I mentioned its more of a question than a statement, with the above considered, would missing out on promotion be such a bad thing, we could try again next season with the clubs finances being in a far less precarious state?

I would like us to go as far as we can, but would not be to downbeat if we are here next season, we have over achieved already. Good point you make though.

Are these the same Malaysians which said that funds were available in January..?
'If' we don't make the play offs interest which is already dropping due to the style of play and pricing will drop even further unfortunately.

It's just I'd hate to see us achieve a dream but not have the funds to make a real go of it (assuming they wouldn't fund a debt clearance and still give Malky a warchest)

Did they say that? Any proof we didn't?
Dropping numbers? I thought we had sold about as many ST tickets as last season. Over 16000 in April is pretty impressive.

Personally, I think we need promotion this season. We need to start converting the army of South Wales plastics and the money would be a great help towards furthering the development of the club on the inside.
